When I got to the starfish and touched it that 's when I ended up on a screen with four bats to kill. I killed the four bats then went right (that was the only direction I could go) which lead me to another black screen with four bats and the only way I could go was up.
I'm using Windows XP Prof.

This indeed seems serious... I looked at that floor and altough your directions didn't let me to any bug (especially that you can only go north from the starfish room, not immediately right), I found that going into some whirlpools one screen up and two screens left puts you on a blank warp... So you end up in screen 80, which is the Missingno of ZC... Now, when you get there, you should be able to be warped back to the buggy screen by touching any edge of screen 80... But for some extreme odd reason, everybody seems to turn up at the very beginning... to avoid further bugs (like getting teleported to any chosen area from the intro area) I made that screen a continue screen. That's why you could have left it only with a "Retry". I fixed the buggy warps there, but I don't know why can'T you leave Knil's house, since the continue points are set perfectly... you should be able go through the intro area then into the portal again and continue your journey. I will submit an update tomorrow (it's already night at me now), I will see your reply until that...
Also, what version you are using, with what operational system?

Barefoot Guy: To get to the other side make sure you hit both switches by activating different triggers throughout F1 and F2 with the bow and Arrow. After you do the four trials and long enemy halls go to F1 and I believe its one of the triggers in the south part of the big room that brings you to the start of that room, but on the other side.

sctmorgan: Wow that's pretty serious I don't know what to say. You tried going in every direction. I don't even remember touching a red starfish. icon_shrug.gif

Silly Cat and Castchaos: I remember that bug, I think I took advantage with that one and got an extra 200 rubies in the black screen then I went back up and warped back to the same place. I loved using the glitches as a way to go back in time and get free money!!! icon_cool.gif

I still can't find it. I've completed all 4 trials. Could you tell me which trigger or at least which screen it's on?

barefootguy:
F1 center room. Southwest. Shoot the two big crystals with arrow.

Stray Sheep:
You have a fine bloodline, just go to the water floor of IW L6, go south twice and there's a room filled with water. Somewhere at the middle, there's a water tile that animates at different speed. Dive there.

Children of the screen 80 bug:
Straaaaange! Going right from the "4 bats room" (screen 80) takes you to screen 81 which takes you to 200 rupees and to the intro? I go back to the water floor and fix things. I see many problems there, Missingno tile warps and side warps...
Also, it's not big surprise when Vista can't run a 2.10 quest properly... The "Knil" can't move thing happens in other quests, too, but usually just in BS quests. It happened with BS and LoZ quests with me when I was new to ZC. When suddenly you can't move, you need to save or continue immediately... I remember a BS quest where once the screen froze and when I chose "Save", I continued exactly where I was frozen before, not at the continue point.
Also, there's a guy at AGN whos 2.10 crashes while the BB intro. I hope this new update will solve his problem, too...

Did not get a heart after beating the dungeon in downtown, got the key, currently in nightmare. Found key in house at bottom, found my way to the top wrecked dungeon and got a key, got to dungeon where compass was, wish I could get rid of it, this led to a grassy area where I got another key. Killed a green dragon (for what I dunno). Every thing else is a dead end. What about the sea monster we are supposed to check out very close, found nothing there. This is bizarre!!!

Hm, I forgot to put HC to the IW L3 boss? If so, I must fix that... But I already sent in the new update, so this next update needs to wait much.
Now, remember back where you got the grassy key. From there go all the way right, then up through the bridge. Hookshot/burn the minitree there and you soon get the boss key. Now, go back to the big room where you got the compass. From there, go west, north through the raft path, but press left immediately and go in the left stairs. You end up in the forest, near a tree stump. Go back into the tree stump. You soon get the dungeon item, when you have it, go all the way north and then west of the entrance, into big building.
The sea monster is an offtrack, very far from any correct route.
Yes, it's bizarre. icon_smile.gif

CastChaos-
I really don't think you "need" to put anymore hearts. I mean, I've had two times, so far, where I've given up a heart instead of money, because I knew I could find that many more hearts or HCPs. I think if you put it all together, and if ZC would allow for more, you would probably be able to acheive at least 28 hearts, maybe even more (32?). Now, I haven't made it to the castle yet, but I've given up two hearts so far and I am still sitting pretty at 24 max hearts. No cheating necessary. I've even left some of the HCPs I've found just so I can sacrifice another heart if need be for later. I think I've been at 24 hearts since around Misery Mire?
Although it does make for more fun play that you don't have to find all the hearts at only certain locations to acheive max-health like most quest makers do *cough* I'm guilty *uncough*.

Oh yeah, remember the infinite rupees room I had found during testing? Did you change that, or leave it? If you left it, has anyone else found it?

Hm, OK, then I don't put a HC there. I always fill my quests with too much HCs because I can't keep track of them. But no bug happens when you get a HC/Ps while already having 24 hearts, so no problem.

No, I haven't heard anybody finding it yet. I planned to reveal its location as a YouTube video much, much later. Like, in 1 or 2 years. Oh wait, no, that was the quest password... then half a year for infinite rupee, I guess.

Do I go through the sand at the end in the room you described after re-entering the tree stump, or is there something before it I am missing, this seems to lead only back to the beginning after going down twice. Found it, darn shell

When you go back into the tree stump and eventually go into sand, you need to go south once, then go south on the LEFT part. If you try to go south on the right side, you get back to the beginning. So, go to the left side, and don't turn back, just go south there til you can. You will hit an invisible teleport and soon find your dungeon item.

So... just one thing im not sure if i got...
It´s meant to be bad and frustrating, huh? Thought so...
I got the small key under the grass, the other... welll, i doubt it... too many buildings to check (especially one with a chst that doesn´t open and like three blue mages...)
Also, i got the boss key (I hate that Dynamo already... two hearts and an ice wand... what a thief...)
Now... i´m stuck... even if i got that key... i have no keyhole...
And Pregnant cow is... whre? north of where you start? The tent is the only suspicious place, and you cannot enter it...
Alos... the screen full of cuccos has some importance?
Thanks in advance for taking me out of this... well, nightmare... (Not ever in my life i have seen such a horrible dream... not even all my nightmares put together...)
Bad and frsutrating... hell yes!

I had to start over because I realized I had missed the lightforce in Necrolodge, and now I can't find it (the lightforce). Also, I've been wandering around the Moonshine Floor. What is supposed to happen here as I can't change any of the switches?
