After the boss has ended his big laser attack and stops, then it is your time to strike its eye as much and as fast as you can.

Okay, I need help defeating the final boss of the Plague Fortress. I've found out how to defeat him in the first two rounds, but when he says "you cannot defeat me", I think he may be right... I cannot defeat him. Did I miss something?

Shoot at the screen next to the boss that is shooting those red waves at you. Shoot as fast as you can.

S'not working. I did notice that if I shoot the eye with the wand, it seems to stop magic. So, the first thing that comes to mind is the flame chip. Though, I've read on here that others have gotten the 4th triforce shard without having it.

So.. I'm stuck here. I suppose I could go finish level 3, then come back here but, eh.

Also, I refuse to believe it has to do with timing the shot for when the eye is open. I've shot almost 50 arrows at this damn thing to no avail.

Teilyr, you need to time your shot, HONEST. I finished that level just today. It was far obvious for the first time that I need the arrow (shape) and that I need to time the shot (animation).


I'm stuck in Level 3!
This level is EXTREME HUGE! I got the royal melody, collected keys, opened doors, activated shortcut switches, got a lot of gray hair and then got to a room with two crazy statues (L1 boomerang in a speed game? Eh...) and then killed them and got to a chest, but NO KEY! I know that the ladder is in, I already saw a lot of areas where the ladder is needed (And forgot their location... need to go over the whole dungeon again... ouch...). I was on a look out for bombable walls. I was falling through gaps, too. Also, I don't have compass or map.
Help?

In level 4 there is a monitor that says MI and some of the blocks move but how to open door

Teilyr, a perfectly timed shot is your answer as CC said. I once tried to randomly shoot the target myself and couldn't get a hit. But one perfectly timed shot and I got an instant hit. I can even make a video to show how easy it is....


CastChaos, it is tough to say what key you might be missing without knowing what all keys you have gotten. But if you are tired of looking that one key, then here's the location of the hidden extra key of LI:

That room is in the southeast corner of F1. Just walk over the pit by hugging the wall and you'll be okay.

I knew that room is used for something! However, it's in one of the most cruel parts of this dungeon, good that I explore fully the areas before entering each dungeon (that's why I have L2 mail...).

However, I'd like to know the location of the nonextra key that I'm missing, too... Not a 100% must, but I'm extra curious what I could miss after such strong exploration...
So, I got a key in the west wing, I unlocked the only locked door (near the boss door, yes I already found the boss door). There was a big falling floor area, I got a key from there (I think it was north of the extra key, after the cruel area), unlocked a door to the left, found a locked door, got emo, found the explosive room... I think there was a key... South from there I bombed, might be I got a key from there, too... But I never had two keys at the same time and I always found the locked door first, and only then the key. I'm pretty sure that the last door that I unlocked was at the room with flute eye block and shooting enemies. So, the key must between that room and the boomerang trial room. I haven't opened the chest that is outside southeast at the long castle wing. I also thought about that might be the key is somewhere in the room of the big chest... I just fear that an extra key might screw up Level4... unless LI has level specific keys, like aLttP.

This is my favourite dungeon so far. Those disappearing floors... I already hated them in MMDWRDC... I have quit the secret dungeon because of them...

Well I learned from my mistakes and didn't make the disapearing floors in LI as insane as they were in MMDWR.

Anyhoo, you answered your own question right there. You said you haven't opened the chest that is outside southeast at the long castle wing. That chest contains the key you are missing. Just use the exit that is on the southern part of F2 to get to the balcony area.
And all keys in LI are level specific, excluding the extra key so there's no fear of anything getting screwed up.

Hi...I've been stuck on level 2 for a few days now ^^;;

I checked the forum first to see if it had already been answered, but it looks like everyone else here is smarter than me, so..

I found a big chest that Im pretty sure contains the magic wand, but I dont have the key to open it. Can someone tell me how to get the first key? I'd really appreciate it ;-;

I wouldn't be opposed to that, though I'll probably get it by the time you finish the video.

By the way, where's the map in level 3? I'm pretty much done with it but, have yet to find the map.

Also, is there a "comeback" hcp in level 2, like there was in level 1?

Um, this may have been answered already, but since nobody likes trawling through a thread this big for it, I want to ask 'Where is the map of Level 1?
Somehow I know it will be an obvious place...
