Subscreen WIP. That bug thing is conveniently sitting on the posts. :P Those dang hearts are a pain though. I'm going to make them into separate pieces soon enough. Then the problem will go away!

By the "bug thing", do you mean a Pesto? :P

That aside, I really love the look of the screen. The BS mountains work very well with the rest of the shot. Amazing work :D

I think Jared might spark the revival of bs.

I don't see a point of having a big A button on the subscreen for it will either be the sword or have the same equipable item functionality as the B button.

Other than that, really great screen design from the guy with the nice hair! :)

Yeah, that thing. :P

And thank you! I agree, the BS mountains work very well.

This actually isn't even BS! It's the BSMC tileset the Sheik and Bourkification made. I'm just completing it, since they left it unfinished and mostly unusable.

Haven't you ever heard of aesthetic? :P And thank you!

Subscreen means it's almost to the beta stages. If you catch my drift. ;)

A week late, but very nice shot! I find it very weird that the cave entrances have bits of yellow grass sticking out. :P

I think Jared might spark the revival of bs.

I hope so as BS is a severely underrated tileset.

Bumping this thread with a screen. Made this out of boredom.

Your mountain usage is superior Saffith! The executions flows smoothly with the amount of  elevation variety you've used. I must rethink my approach to mountains in quests now!

Looking amazing! I really like the colours of the mountains, it looks as if it's made out of marble or something. Great job.

I see some very strong Metroid influences here. Really well done in the overall shading and design.

Alright I need some advice... I'm not sure about this house~!

...my problem with it is that I feel like it's too centered or that it's too big. ...that, in-general the house doesn't look like it belongs.

Unnamed%20House_1.png

I might just tear it down and start from scratch because it's too generic. ;;

All I know is that I really want a house on this screen and I want to keep the trees generally where they are.

Overall how do you feel about this screen? Is there any advice you can offer because I could use some help~ =3

...or am I the only one who feels like this screen isn't so rad. ;;

Well, think about it this way. Is this how you would decorate your house if you lived there? Personally, I would remove the left garden box and decorate the empty space with ground-decoration flowers. Maybe add a chimney on the roof somewhere. As-is, it looks pretty good anyways. Keep in mind, man-made structures do tend to go with symmetry unless specifically trying to avoid doing so.

The house walls should use CSet 4, you used CSet 3. :P Anyway, I like the feeling of this screenshot. The right pine tree looks fitting and I would second what kurt said. Add more ground variety it "feel" like a home. Other than that, I think this is pretty solid.
