What is it with people who grind for rupees and than buy out their items long before they need to? :P I am seeing this complaint a lot here.

Knowing Nintendo, I'd say it's easy to max out without grinding, but grinding makes it worse. So many wasted rupees. Lol

I never really found the rupees situation all that bad.  I was fairly slow into buying the items though, still having a few left to purchase even after finishing four of the Lorule dungeons- usually just relying on renting them and hoping I wouldn't die (this did not bode well for me sometimes) but personally I think Nintendo did an alright job spacing out rupees.  Yes, the game has a lot, but you'll be spending them on more than just the rental shop, too.  There's a decent bit of mini games (which for the most part are really fun) and side areas that require your money.  I ended up gathering about 28000 rupees by the end, and had 1255 in my inventory when I beat the game.  Of course, that's just me.

I had everything bought by the time I finished two Lorule dungeons, so I think they overdid it a bit. Not to mention the one side thing that after some more testing actually gives out 5000 rupees.

Anyhow, finished the game yesterday and still kinda disappointed in it. Probably would give it a 6.5 out of 10. Seems I'm like the only one who doesn't love this game.

That Ice dungeon boss was the hardest boss so far for me. Almost got rustled. Was down to my last 2 hearts.

No, you aren't the only one. ALBW is a lazy effort, another childish game, the legacy of Zelda is getting more and more embarrassing with each release. Nintendo doesn't care about hardcore gamers anymore. It's sad.

ALBW was wrapped in a container of false and forced nostalgic, and people still applauds this game. Short, easy and lacks identity. A true rehash with two cool moments and gimmicks, and another embarrassing anime story, that's all. I miss the times when Zelda was an engrossing and memorable experience.

Meanwhile, Yoshiaki Koizumi, the real leader in the true great Zelda games, only works with Mario games =( The result: The best Mario games: SMG, SMG2, SM3D World...

Laugh. Out. Loud.

I wish anti-nostalgic people would stop using the word nostalgia like it's a bad thing. Some people actually appreciate Nintendo using their old games as references to make new games. They may overdone it, but that doesn't mean it's not perfect.

"Rehash" is a very bold word to call this game. This game - besides the overworld in Hyrule - is nothing like aLttP. And I played aLttP more than enough times.

EDIT: On the subject of difficulty, if it weren't for fairy backups, I would have died 12 times.

Exactly, is my opinion. Is there some problem?

If you want a 10/10, perfect game, Nintendo is amazing... No, you don't find it here. Even the worst quest in this database has more passion, love and effort that ALBW (yeah, Shamanock doesn't count)

This Satellite guy really hates me -_-

We didn't say it was 10/10 or perfect. We didn't say Nintendo was amazing either. Where are you getting these assumptions?

The problem is that you sound like you're enforcing your opinion as if it were fact. I can accept that you don't like it but you shouldn't wrong people's opinions in the process. Just saying.

No. What I hate is when you post things that make it sound like your opinion is the ultimate standard. You don't like the recent Zelda games, therefore Nintendo isn't trying anymore? No, sorry, not how it works. And you do this so often that it irritates many of us. It's okay to say you're not pleased with the game; HylianGlaceon did and you don't see anyone jumping on him. Because he didn't tout it like a fact. He's not taking it to ridiculous extremes. You, though, have been, and it rubs people the wrong way. I'm not telling you to change your opinion, just to stop acting like yours is more important than everyone else's.

Easy, huh?  Why don't we all play hero mode before jumping to that conclusion. :P (I'm prepared for a lot of dying.  And yelling.  A lot of both.)

Also, I'm confused by what you mean by "embarrassing anime story".  I thought the exposition for Lorule was incredibly neat, and made up for the rest of the game not being very story-driven.  The fact that everyone had their own intentions and differing goals and it wasn't just, "Evil is all one big happy family," is a lot more story than older Zelda games had.  I'd love to know why you think otherwise.

I mean, hey, it's okay if you don't like it.  But I've always found this whole "hardcore vs casual" argument to be kiiiiiiiiind of ridiculous.  It always seems to make people more stressed out about video games than anything. :|

To be fair I haven't died yet and only had to use a fairy once thanks to random buffed Lynels and buggy height mechanics (Try fighting an enemy on a hill, what fun...)

In response to ending details..

Spoiler

With that said, I'm actually already kinda bored with ALBW so I may go hatch some more Eevees in Pokemon Y or something. Not really sure what to do atm. I started a Hero Mode file but it's kinda boring me too.

Guys don't hate me, but I think I will have to agree with Air Luigi and Hylian Glaceon that the story in A Link Between Worlds is kinda half-baked and the characters forgettable. Skyward Sword did that so much better and it's story, it's characters, it's world let's you feel with it.

However the story is not what makes ALBW one of the greatest Zelda games ever. It's the great open-world, nonlinear, exploration based gameplay! Finally Nintendo found out what exactly the core of Zelda was. The exploration is fun and it's possible to explore almost all of the world and the caves from the very beginning. Once you get access to the items you can actually go wherever you want. But then, after the first 3 dungeons you're like whoa! There is not just one but two of these huge worlds to explore with lot's of secrets all over the place.

Also, I can't believe that some people complained about the graphics (if I browse through some of the early pages here). The graphic is so high quality and very atmospheric. This comes especially into play in the dungeons. Their textures look even better than Twilight Princess. And then theres the 3D effect, which came to great use through the entire game and made it looks so much better.

edit: I heard that the graphic looks a bit better on the normal 3ds thant the 3ds xl. I wonder if that's true? I own the normal one.
