My family tends to have a sense of humor where stuff like this isn't an issue. As long as I'm not showing them flat-out porn, everyone's pretty okay with it. They're smart enough to know what's appropriate in public and what isn't, even my youngest siblngs. If it ever became a problem, then we'd start restricting what they watch.

Also isn't Gurran Legann (I am not good in remembering titles, names, so sry for writing them wrong) still incomplete, stumbled about this a few times already. Also might give Steins Gate a 2nd chance, disliked the first episode long ago.
In my younger years I had a lot of problems (not that I really solved them all by now) and had a liking for really messed up charakters (like in Pandora Hearts or Chaos Head). Now it is the opposite, they let me remember my own messed up self. Just wondering if someone here is going through something similiar regarding anime.
I actually finished watching Adventure Time. I know it is not really an anime, but since I normally am also not into cartoons I think this show is worthwhile. First thing to say here is to watch it in order, there might be only tiny bits you don't get but you do not really want to watch episodes more than once and these tiny things are what makes this cartoon outstanding. There are just tons of little things reappearing without explanation you don't even realize by watching it out of order. The big story is not all that great but pretty interesting and makes out only a smart part of the series. Most episodes are not connected and show random storys, incredible and really bad ones, though unusual for similiar shows there is a minimum of reason in the action of the MPs and there is kind of an charakterevolvement. Also while beeing often silly like most of the shows there are tons of awkward situations (cannot describe this better) that put some thought into your head.

Gurren Lagann is in fact complete. A start, middle, and an end. There's one recap episode you can skip, I think it's 16? It adds no new plot whatsoever, though, from memory, it does have a few neat sketches of the characters if you're into that sorta thing. People often criticize the second third of the series for being too slow or heavy, though I personally enjoyed it just as much as the rest. Okay the rest were way better cuz more action and awesomeness but I didn't dislike looking into the politics of the world. It was interesting to me.
Steins;Gate is apparently hit-or-miss on its first episode, but it really gets good fast in my opinion. One episode isn't really enough to judge its potential, I feel.

So I startet watching Gurren Lagann and like it so far. A bit like a mix of FLCL, Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai and Yoru no Yatterman.

Gurren Lagann is fantastic. My favorite anime. Possibly favorite show period, in competition only with Avatar: The Last Airbender (friendly reminder this is not an anime).

I started watching Your lie in April. So far, this show is fantastic. If you like the game Eternal Sonata, you'll feel right at home.

Well I've been out of the anime-watching scene for a while. I decided to just give up on Gunslinger Girl, which was sitting for a long time anyway. The first season of the show was fine, but nothing amazing. That, coupled with the abrupt animation change in the second season along with the fanbase apparently not liking it in general, made me decide to not finish the second season, which I only saw two episodes of to begin with, so so long to Gunslinger Girl.
Now I've switched to currently-airing shows, Ace Attorney and Space Patrol Luluco.
Ace Attorney is self-explanatory: An adaptation of the Ace Attorney video games, the original trilogy from what I understand. It's pretty alright so far, though it's just the episode. A lot of animation gags to the games, and the animation itself is actually very good, it's nice to look at. The thing that bugs me is that the official subs use the Japanese names, so I'm gonna be very confused and probably missing tons of puns. Also it uses music from the game a little, instead mostly opting for an original soundtrack that's... kinda boring. I'd appreciate more usage of the awesome game tunes; anime repeats music all the time anyway so it's not like there'd be an issue with repeating music, plus we didn't complain when we played the games, so what gives?
Space Patrol Luluco I just found out about, it's a new Trigger anime from Hiroyuki Imaishi, director of Gurren Lagann, Panty and Stocking, and Kill la Kill. It's a short anime (as in the first episode was only eight minutes) about a middle school girl named Luluco, who lives in a city on Earth where humans and aliens coexist (but I think humans are uncommon in this city, I'm not sure). She's content living her life as a normal student in a world full of crazy, until a situation forces her to become part of the Space Patrol... Not entirely an original setup but it's the typical drug trip to expect of this director. It's entertaining, and that's all I ask for.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
I've been having fun with both. JoJo just came out yesterday, so gotta wait a week for each one. I'm also watching Dragon Ball Super as they come out.

Slowly working my way through Fairy Tail, nearly done with the first "season" (the one that stopped at episode 175). I'm a fool for long-running anime, even though I don't always have time to get through much. Have already seen a lot though, HunterxHunter 2011, Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Code Geass, Hellsing Ultimate, Yu Yu Hakusho and xxxHolic are among my very favorites. I also enjoy Naruto (sorry for the haters lol), but it's not my ultimate favorite ![]()

Oh. I've picked up another couple shows but forgot to update, but that's okay, another one just came out I was going to follow, so I can condense them into one post.
Boku no Hero Academia, which I'm basically only watching cuz Russ and Moosh are. Basically, superpowers are commonplace, called "Quirks" in this universe, an people without powers are uncommon. The main character has no Quirk, but strives to be a hero anyway. Not the most original plot, but the first episode seems promising, I quite enjoy the music so far.
Kuma Miko, about a young shrine maiden, watched over by the woods' bear spirit. It seemed like a goofy and cute enough plot, though it also had a couple of lewd moments that I didn't expect. Nothing too bad though. So far, it seems alright.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, which I'm watching for similar reason as Boku no Hero Academia: Moosh and Russ are into it. It's... zombies. There's one character that's cool, but other than the train theme, it doesn't seem much more than... zombies. Maybe it'll do something to stand apart, but it's zombies. Also the last couple minutes of the first episode were dumb.
There's another show on the way from Trigger that I'm interested in, called Kiznaiver. We'll see how that goes.

I'm watching Ghost Stories. After meeting both Greg Ayres and Monica Rial at cons, they talked about how this anime flopped in Japan and how the US went all out on the dub resulting in one of the funniest dubs ever. I can't wait to watch it.
