Really? I typically feel like Rainbow Dash portrays me more than anybody. To me, Twilight Sparkle is just all "hey I read books and comment on things and don't really have a personality deal with it" or something.
I'm not talking about relating to her. I'm saying that at the right moments she'll say what the audience is thinking. That's all. In terms of relating to the characters, I'd probably be either Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie.

What episode is this from? Horse puns are the best thing.
It's from episode 6 "Boast Busters", which I didn't like at first but Trixie's character becomes more endearing the more you see this episode.

I just want to say...43 Pages o-o. You guys weren't kidding about going all out with the ponies icon_omg.gif!

I still haven't sat down and watched a FULL episode yet...I've been doing other things, like drawing, playing the PSP, and MOAR BORING SUMMER THINGIES.

A few tips of advice:

1. Go in with an open mind, but set your expectations low. If you're expecting some mindblowinglyohmygodthisisthebestthingever series, you'll be disappointed. Most of the hype is only because it's...you know...My Little Pony. It shouldn't be so entertaining, it should be mind-numbing and filled with tea parties and giggling. But some how it IS entertaining, it's not mind numbing, and tea parties/giggling are kept to a minimum and only used for lampooning the old MLP shows. Hence the hype. It's not over the top brilliant, it's just relatively enjoyable, easy to get into, and a nice reprieve from inferior and pathetic kids shows like *shudders* Fanboy and Chum Chum.
2. DON'T STOP AFTER THE FIRST EPISODE. The first episode is easily the most poorly executed and the characters haven't really fallen into their roles yet. If you're not hooked right away, I'd suggest giving it until episode 7. When you're watching them in order, episode 7 seems to be the universal point of no return (with a 95% success rate).

PG, don't EVER mention that piece of crap in this thread again icon_razz.gif

Let's stick to ponies, not whatever the hell Fanboy and Chum Chum is.

Fanboy and Chum Chum is indisputably one of the worst shows ever made. They don't put any effort into their writing, they just throw some random crap together and send it to Nick without any proofreading. Why would you proof read a script for a children's show? icon_awesome.gif

I thought I'd use it to provide contrast, so he knows it won't be anything godawful like that. MLP's writers actually care about the direction of the show, and ultimately want it to turn out awesome. Except for Dave Polsky, he should probably be off writing for Fanboy and Chum Chum.

I lost all faith in new kids shows after I saw an episode of Fanboy and Chum Chum. It's way too random, and not in a Pinkie-Pie-good-random sort of way.

Luckily, My Little Pony has redeemed kids shows for me.

^THIS. But now that MLP has redeemed kids shows for me, I've actually started to enjoy shows like Adventure Time, Dan Vs., and Phineas & Ferb.

It is one of the most funny lines the show, but it's also heavy out of character, which was my point. icon_razz.gif

Also, Lithium, I would not go off and say Twilight does not have any character, she does. She's just not very good at socializing so you have to look a bit deeper to see it. In winter wrap up for example you can see that she sorta orders everything up in an orderly fashion being a neat freak that she is: Video link. Not to mention a whole bunch of other personality you can see if you pay attention. The character of the mane six which I think was least explored personality wise is Applejack, sure you get a general idea of her, but there is a lot of other things you never get to know about her.

Also, very few western kids shows have been good recently (The Dapanese front, on the other hoof, have been quite good though, but that's not for everypony.) I can't think of any specific recent one beside MLP that I liked.

You tried Phineas & Ferb? It's actually pretty cool, despite being Disney. I used to boycott Disney channel, but I lifted that ban just so I could watch Phineas & Ferb. That's how good it is. I mean, there are some issues, like the fact that Ferb doesn't talk much, which is a shame considering the British accent, but for the most part it's entertaining.

From what I have seen from of Adventure Time, it looks like a 2D Fanboy and Chum Chum. Although I guess I shouldn't be so harsh on the show considering I've never watched a full episode. I kinda learned my lesson about "judging a book by it's cover" when I watched an episode of My Little Pony.

Anyway, last night I bought a Clock Tower clock and a Rainbow Dash shirt :3

NO. DON'T EVEN SAY THAT. Adventure Time is like that deliberately, to lampoon all the shows out there that are like Fanboy and Chum Chum.

In five months when I'm old enough to order stuff online I'm SO signing up for cafepress and blowing all my college funds on pony shirts.
