I got that, but it's still more of an "overworld" than The Wind Waker had. At least this one looks like there will be some fairly large areas, such as the desert. Hopefully. A
lso, I don't have the trailer, but one clearly showed Link riding a boat. It'd be strange if he was riding a boat on small lake, so I'd expect each overworld area to be of decent size. Finally,
Game Informer is posting a new Zelda-related piece of information every day this week and next week. Looks like we get a new trailer on Thursday, Friday, and next week Wednesday. Rejoice.
That argument is invalid. Link did that at least two times in Twilight Princess, both areas being pretty small, one of em being nothing but a short river leading nowhere, and the second being the fishing pond.
What I'm saying is that I believe the game's overworld is going to feel more like Spirit Tracks, except you can fly anywhere, rather than having to follow laid-out tracks. In Spirit Tracks, each area was big (for a hand held, mind you), and left you with plenty of areas to explore, compared to Wind Waker's pretty straight forward and small islands (not that it was bad, I love Wind Waker).
I guess what I mean is that I don't think you'll have an 'underworld' overworld, so each area 'down below' will act more like the train stations, or islands in Wind Waker. It certainly looks that way from what I have seen so far (which includes some press-only footage mind you). Aonuma has also stated earlier that they're revamping the way you travel in between areas and dungeons, and that some dungeons will expand beyond the actual 'temple walls' as well, which could indicate that each 'area', or 'island' will be treated more like separate challenges rather than overworld areas. I for one welcome this with open arms, even though I am hoping they won't leave behind the idea of an on-foot overworld for the series as a whole.

Mole Mitts in 3D? How's that gonna work? Eh, it's probably like the wolf's digging in TP.
I'm glad to see the gust jar/mole mitts in SS, since I am one of the guys who believes MC takes place before OoT.
You are not alone. Besides, Aonuma has stated that it does indeed take place before OoT, so it is kind of fact, even if some fans either won't admit it or simply don't
know that he did indeed say that. But he did, and yes MC takes place before OoT (which has
nothing to do with the 'hatless Link' issue, mind you, but
all to do whit the fact that one of the lead developers on the Zelda series as a whole literally placed it before Ocarina of Time. There's no arguing that, no matter how much people might want to
