So, does that mean that I'm to go on to level 6? Is level 5 finished?

No. Of course IW L5 isn't finished til the boss is toast and you lay your dirty hands on the Medal of Wizardry. IW L6 isn't even open until you do that.
So, that place there is just a comeback HCP. You know, you complete IW L5, then after completing IW L6, you "come back" to IW L5 to get that HCP. Haven't you noticed such comeback secrets in almost all dungeons so far?
As I told you, you can use wand magic (normal, not wizzrobe masked) on the torches to reveal the safe path through the deep. Continue onward and after an extra floor, you get to the boss.

Nevermind. I just needed to try an additional item.
I'm lost again. I have made it to the Frozen Waste land but I can't remove the ice blocks with the wand. What gives? I finished Nightmare and have wondered around finding different things but now I'm stumped.

Well, you need the wand magic, not the wand itself, to touch the long block of ice. For some people, it disappeared right after inspecting it with lens of truth. Maybe there's also smooth ice that can reflect magic. Just to make sure, the ice you need to melt is in the screen with the subrosian and campfire.

Thank CastChoas, I figured it out w/the lens. But now I used up my magic numerous of times trying to open the chest on t he SW of the dungeon. I see where the bottom-left disappears and I've been able to use the magic to reflect light 5 times continuous but I can't open the chest. Help please. I have the boss key so that can't be the problem, I can't move the blockage.

That chest... you fall from above to open it. Go back the same way where you go the boss key, except from the moving floor room, go directly south. You fall in a hole and end up near the chest.

Okay I tried not to ask but around and around I go. I ended up in the Steaming Systems from within the Frozen Waste dungeon, what am I supposed to do in there. I can exit the same why I came but that's it.

So, you found the IW L5 subdungeon. It's a hookshot maze. Start by going right, then go clockwise around the middle and when you arrive to the southpart, go north through the centre.
If you want to continue the main dungeon, itself, use the dungeon item to get many keys and go to the northwest of B1 to start using your keys... up.

Why do I have such a hard time reflecting my magic. In the SW of B1 there is an entrance to SS but I can't reflect my magic off the walls. Is the mirror shield in this dungeon?

The mirror shield is far away. Only shiny wall parts reflect magic. The entrance to SS (Steaming Systems) is at the northeastern region, not at SW (southwest). You don't need to reflect magic at southwest region of B1.
Wait! There IS an entrance to Steaming Systems at southwest B1... but how you know it? I don't remember placing any signs of Steaming Systems there and you don't have the item neccessary for it.

I can see on the map...2 entrance to SS. Also, the lens reveals that I can use the wand to access that area.

Ah, so the map tells it... however, it's true entrance is aligned in a way that you can't reach the actual trigger with the lens, so you see something different.
Hm, maybe you speak of the FAR southwest of B1, near the moving floors? There the lens doesn't show wand magic, rather wand FIRE. If you get the Wizzrobe mask (will be available later) your magic creates fire upon impact. There are a VERY few places where you need to use this kind of fire to get a secret. I remember just 3 places now.

Help...CastChoas in the plant pond once you get to the water level at the bottom middle there is a room that you access which contains a red starfish (???). I went right then up and ended up in Link's house at the beginning of the level. Maya is trying to wake him up and I can't go any further. I think this is a big bug.
Also, I did continue and still at Link's house and I did the impossible and saved the game. Now I can't get out of Link's house.

This indeed seems serious... I looked at that floor and altough your directions didn't let me to any bug (especially that you can only go north from the starfish room, not immediately right), I found that going into some whirlpools one screen up and two screens left puts you on a blank warp... So you end up in screen 80, which is the Missingno of ZC... Now, when you get there, you should be able to be warped back to the buggy screen by touching any edge of screen 80... But for some extreme odd reason, everybody seems to turn up at the very beginning... to avoid further bugs (like getting teleported to any chosen area from the intro area) I made that screen a continue screen. That's why you could have left it only with a "Retry". I fixed the buggy warps there, but I don't know why can'T you leave Knil's house, since the continue points are set perfectly... you should be able go through the intro area then into the portal again and continue your journey. I will submit an update tomorrow (it's already night at me now), I will see your reply until that...
Also, what version you are using, with what operational system?

It's the screen with the 200 rupees, right? I had the same problem, only when I left the "item cellar", it took me back to the same screen. But yeah, I can't continue from Knil's house either. Knil just won't wake up icon_biggrin.gif
FYI, I'm using 2.10.0 on Vista Home Premium.

(Also, Knil won't move if you continue from the rainy Kakariko Village.)
