I don't really care per se, but I know Meta Knight is a really broken character.

I know I'm really in the minority here, but I vastly prefer Brawl to Melee. The characters seem more balanced, there are less clones, there are less exploitations of the programming that go on in tournament play, and it just feels better to me. That's not to say there aren't things I don't like; I mean, come on, who came up with tripping? By and large, though, I think it's a more fun game.
I agree.
ALSO FOR THE SAKE OF BOREDOM.

I was making this for like 4 and a half hours tonight. I shortcutted some of the hip/body and the head(which I'll go back and edit the head and body later)
I made it in Second Life, and my next big task is to make it a vehicle. The reason its limp and lying there is because SL was crashing hard on me, for no apparent reason. Thats why I stopped working on it and shortcutted the little bit I had left to do. Either case, its done enough to be worth showing off. I took some creative liberties on it, as well. What ya think?
I plan to make this little bugger walk, place some turrets on it, and have the head detach when a message is sent from each leg(to mimic the behavior from Prime 2) Each leg and the Head unit is going to have some form of health, when the legs' health reaches 0, the head unit will detach and you can drive it like a hovercraft. The Head is going to have some operable laser cannons and turrets(which means its going to have room for 3 people or more.) I probably won't get that tornado spin thing working though, Second Life's physics system isn't the best, and if I tried to make it spin like that, the legs would probably shoot off.

I agree, Brawl's a lot better. I don't know why, but Melee just doesn't feel right. Play all three of the games and you'll see that the original and Brawl feel almost identical, while Melee seems different somehow. Plus, they made Ness suck in Melee, then made him good again in Brawl.

I don't know. He's tough, but not that hard to beat if you know how.

Whoa, that looks awesome. Nice work!

And yeah, I guess balanced is a really subjective term.

Yeah, people who complain that Brawl is too slow should play the first Smash. That's slow.
The biggest problem with going from Melee to Brawl is the difference in fighting style. People had to adjust from Melee's ultra-aggressive style (hell, Melee was aggressive to a fault) to the more defensive Brawl.
Actually, I think I know why the big N made MK the way he is. Most of his hitboxes have what competitive players call "laser priority"--basically, no other attacks can cancel them out, regardless of the attack's priority. However, it also means that they can't stop attacks themselves. Other examples of laser priority are the aura on Lucario's attacks (except AS), and obviously the space animals' lasers. The problem is, it isn't as big of a setback as they probably thought it would be.
And yeah, I guess balanced is a really subjective term.

Its Quadraxis from Metroid Prime 2. The third temple guardian, and one of the most kick-ass bosses in the Metroid Series(my opinion of course)
and yes. Every once in a while I play Second Life, but mainly for building stuff like this, I don't socialize or anything.

Geez.
Melee and Brawl have their own charms. Melee was the first SSB game to offer a full roster...I mean, SSB was good an all, but it was lacking in characters IMO. It was a great game for its time (and still is), but the lack of characters made it seem...igh. Brawl greatly expanded the roster, and included two non-canon characters-Snake and Sonic. It introduced more lesser-known characters, like Lucas and Pit, and also added a large range of expliotable glitches (ex. PK Zap-Jump, Snake's Wavedash).

Anyway, my high school just won the Varsity State Football Championship on Friday (Wisconsin). First time in 10 years, plus a conference switch in there somewhere. It was a pretty boring game, final score was 7-0, we scored within the first few minutes, and nothing else happened. Still, pretty exciting. And we got off of school early.

Hey, 12 characters isn't that bad. Their only problem was that the harder-to-unlock characters were a lot better. Seriously, try playing with Ness or Captain Falcon. They just murder the competition. Which is partially why I started using Ness so much.
Also, Lucas isn't a lesser-known character in Japan. Mother 3 is very popular there. In fact, arcades all over Japan have the crane games filled with Mr. Saturn plushies right now for some promotional deal.
And what's this PK Zap-Jump? Sounds interesting...
