I decided to reboot BETA in instrumentality. You guys probably won't notice, though, because I never before shared a screenshot of the quest with you guys. So...
IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE. TAKE THIS.

Looks like a pretty cool screen, and damn, that's some good instrumentality usage. I also wonder what's up with the Wizzrobe? ![]()

The perspective, colours, and outlining conventions all clash with each other; in fact, everything clashes with everything else. Instrumentality is garish and unsightly. If I were a nineteenth-century parent and it were my son I would lock it in the closet whenever I received guests.

Grr! How dare you have opinions!? I will hold an eternal grudge against you now!
Instrumentality is in desperate need of some new overworld tiles, I just don't currently have the skill to make them. Not sure exactly what you mean about the colors. Care to elaborate?

The problem with the colours may be specific to Dimentio's screen. The sickly green of the houses is at variance with pretty much every other colour on the screen.

Dimentio, that screen looks pretty good! The only critique I have is that the color of the houses barely matches the overall color scheme of the surroundings, which makes them look a bit unnatural to the eye.
Also, Geoffrey, I'm almost certain that the color problems you see are more specific to Dimentio's screen than to Instrumentality in general. He didn't have to make the houses that particular color. To me, Instrumentality is very attractive and aesthetically appealing if used correctly.

It's an improvement. I feel like there's no CSet that fits perfectly for those houses since they were a last minute addition. It's not like this is an NES restricted tileset anymore, so I probably should have just added more colors to overworld palettes.

Yeah, the houses weren't even in the combo pages when I started. I literally had to go digging around in the tile list until I found them.
You really should add more color to the palettes, because it's a very good tileset.

The new look on the houses look better than before. I actually really do like the way they look now.

I made another screenshot. It's the screen directly to the north.
There are no secrets here. Especially not to everyone.
