I doubt it's going to be a veteran character. Their website is scheduling a video that day and no veteran character has their own video trailer. It's gotta be a newcomer. Chrom or Lucina maybe?

Doesn't Sonic have a trailer?  He's technically a veteran character.

Nope, he doesn't.

 

I was thinking Isaac from Golden Sun would be a fantastic addition.  Shulk is the popular pick right now, and I'd be fine with that (I haven't played Xenoblade though) but I'll be disappointed if we lose out on Golden Sun representation.

I could imagine Shulk's Final Smash. Monado Buster in which his sword becomes much longer that makes Ike's Ragnell look like a kitchen knife and Shulk can just swing that sword around destroying everything in its path. Other than that Shulk would have a very good variety of moves. Just as long as he doesn't yell out the names of his attacks in battle. That will get annoying quick.

 

But come on, this heropon is a MUCH better choice than Shulk in Smash ...

Shulk would be a reasonably choice, I think, given the extreme popularity of Xenoblade. Then again, I never played it, so I don't know how feasible of a character he would be. There's also the possibility we could be getting Bayonetta, seeing as her second game is a Wii U exclusive now.

You know who would make an awesome Smash Bros character?  A Pianta.  His final smash would be that he puts a random player in jail for no reason.
