I was watching tons of Haganai and Haganai NEXT! This is one of the funniest animes I have ever watched. For those who ask, I'm a Yozora fan more than a Sena (aka Meat) fan! :) Though Rika beats them both!

Just finished Rio Rainbow Gate

Overall, light hearted, casino setting Ecchi. Centers around a casino dealer and her associates, going through challenges to collect 13 lucky cards

lots of eye candy, humor

Afro Samurai is a character on the show

Currently watching:

* Kill La Kill

* Haganai NEXT!

I'm almost done with Haganai NEXT! It's a very hilarious harem anime. I definitely recommend it. Once you finish, you will ask yourself which lady you side with.

My next show after Haganai is most likely Red Data Girl. It was sitting in my backlog for quite a while. And after than I wanna get back to watching K-ON! Already on Season 2.

Now I have a reason to watch Full Metal Alchemist. I just heard that Funimation's licensing with Aniplex for this series expires on March 31st. Which means that it will be gone and Aniplex will most likely overprice the series and sell them in parts as opposed to complete.

Can you recommend me so good anime? I prefer reading manga and many good shows like hunter x hunter are just not interesting for me if I know the manga already (though there are good animes based on horrible mangas). Also I prefer them to be complete.

I like for example Darker than Black, the old Hellsing (dislike Hellsing ultimate), Bakemonogatari (though a bit too much ecchi), Lucky Star, The garden of sinners (the real killer was the biggest let down I ever had in an anime), Avatar, Michiko e Hatchin (though the plot plays in a place the creators obviously not came from), Dragon Ball (hate Dragon Ball Z), Cowboy Bebop, Madoka, Ghost in the Shell, Soul Eater, Mushishi, Kimi no Todoke, ...

Psycho-Pass, Elfenlied and Shin Sekai Yori are also animes with elements I really love, but both tackle themes they cannot handle while keeping boring 0815-anime elements.

Also, has someone of you watched the anime and read the manga of Naru Taru and Bokurano? I love the mangas but fear that the show is just a bad animated series censoring anything.

Avatar isn't an anime!

... ahem. A couple I could recommend that I see you haven't seen yet are Gurren Lagann and Steins;Gate. The former is pretty much just an awesome show, a mech one, but a good mech one, with fun characters and a great story. The latter is about a couple of nerdy researchers working on discovering and utilizing time travel, in an unconventional way to say the least, and deals with some pretty serious themes as well, such as what it's okay to use it for and the consequences of their actions. Little things though, they don't go about changing world history or anything.

I'd recommend Log Horizon, but you mentioned not wanting to watch unfinished shows. So, if it hopefully ever finishes, I'll get back to you. :heh:

I don't have anything else right now, it looks like you've gotten most of the good ones already.

Alright guys, I need to know something.

I started watching "No Game No Life" with my little sister. Apparently there's an anime, manga, and series of novels. The anime is 12 episodes, definitely a warning sign (I know multiple series that tried to extend their running length by ending the initial 12 on a cliffhanger and it still didn't pan out), and the manga only seems to have a single volume in English. I found a handful of the novels translated into English (around 6 of them), but haven't started reading them yet.

Is there any version of this series that is either completed or on-going? We're really getting into this show (Kayla stopped at Episode 4, I watched ahead to Episode 6), and it's going to suck to find out that it stops and never gets completed.

The light novel series is where it began and is ongoing. The anime stops at anime 12 on obvious cliffhanger but there's no word on whether or not it'll be picked up for more once there's enough light novel material for a further adaptation. It was a painful end, because I wanted more, without having to go to the light novels. :(

Seriously though, that's a sentence I didn't expect to read. Like saying "I just started watching Kill la Kill with my mother." There's some scenes there that'd be pretty awkward. :P
