Ignoring the issues people are having Medusa is going to be a big mistake on Re-Logic's part. She is still a broken enemy with an instakill ability who can randomly use it to kill you before you could even know she is there (or even before the Marble Biome is in proximity). I consider this to be an unacceptable mechanic and I will not stop complaining about her until she is fixed and I hope others do the same, because she singlehandedly makes the game significantly less enjoyable for multiple reasons.
@Orithan: My main beef with Terraria lately is the lack of items that provide immunities to new debuffs. Being stoned over and over and comboed to death while you can't do anything about it other than watch is horrible game design. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't being stoned also laugh at wings/horseshoes? Hell, why not throw in an enemy that randomly spawns in and does ~10000 damage, killing you instantly just for the sake of doing it? I really hate to throw this out there, but I feel that the developers don't fully play their own game. I think if anything, one of the following resolutions would work:
1. Make it so Medusa can't spam her stoning ability. Last time I checked, I was stoned, and almost the instant I was freed from the debuff, she just applied it AGAIN.
2. Add an item that has a 1 in 100 drop rate, for instance Reflective Glasses, that provides immunity to Stoned. You would still take damage from her Stoned attack, but not be reduced to a helpless statue. This could be an add-on to the Ankh Shield or a standalone item; either is fine. If the former, it could either be made another component of the Ankh Charm or combined with it to make the "Mirror Charm" and then slapped on an Obsidian Shield to make the Mirror Shield. Additionally, I think it would be fair to allow the Reflective Glasses to just be directly added to the Ankh Shield as an alternative recipe.
I actually made two separate text documents, one about a year ago and another a few months ago with items and concepts that I would have in Terraria. I guess you could think of it as something I would add to Terraria if I actually knew how to mod it and stuff, or if I was one of the devs. To take an example from each one:
1. Two new post Plantera/Golem armor sets called Neotetsu and Neocrystal. Neotetsu would be setup to be more defensive armor comparable to Turtle Armor for defense bonuses with its set bonus being increased invulnerability that would additively stack with the Star Veil or Cross Necklace. The total defense for melee, ranged and magic Neotetsu are 68, 55 and 47 respectively. By contrast, Neocrystal would be more suited for DPS with defensive stats around Mythril level. Its set bonus would be that all critical hits would deal 2.25x damage instead of 2x. The defense for each set are 45 for melee, 32 for ranged and 28 for magic.
2. A new world that could be accessed once you beat a boss that would be more or less a Hardmode tier Wall of Flesh. The boss would be called the "Psycho Room" and basically confines you to a small area that varies between 20 and 60 tiles wide being surrounded by walls on both sides. It would move back and forth randomly, expanding and contracting. Same ideas as WoF; trying to run away gets you grabbed and teleporting kills you instantly. Once it's dead, you can get an NPC to spawn that sells you a placeable portal that allows you access to the "Parallel World", where it's meant to be similar to your first time in Hardmode, except with the expected base line equipment being Beetle/Shroomite/Spectre. Same boring ore tier system, but would add some new hazards. To name a few:
Acid Pools - They spawn where lava normally does. Acid deals 200 damage on contact and would inflict the "Corrosion" debuff on you, draining 12 HP/sec for 5 seconds. Death to it would state "[Playername] corroded away."
Dragon Rider - A highly powerful boss-like enemy that spawns in the sky biome. Its dragon can breath solid block piercing flames and its contact damage is on par with the Ice Queen's. The Dragon Rider itself can fire arrows at you for very high damage too. Killing it drops a few Dragon Scales, Skins or Fangs to make melee, ranged or magic armor respectively. See spoiler for full stats:
Set Bonus: Gives you "Dragon Rider" buff, which gives you a dragon that breathes fire onto enemies for strong damage (around 80-100 damage per hit on the toughest of Hardmode enemies) as well as the following bonuses:
+15 Defense
Negates fall damage
Allows for flight (approx 500 feet)
Negates knockback
Additionally, damage for the other two attack styles will be decreased. For instance, wearing a Dragon Helmet decreases ranged and magic damage, where a Dragon Fang Vest decreases melee and magic damage.
Helmet: -7% damage to other styles
Body: -10% damage to other styles
Legs: -8% damage to other styles
So basically, the armor sets would require you to be dedicated to one setup, since wearing for instance the full Mage set makes all melee and ranged attacks do 25% less damage. Keep in mind all of the above was put in a text file in a thought dump over a year ago, so yeah. If anyone is interested, I could possibly link the text files here to see what stupid ideas I made up being a bored Terrarian?

1: Yes. The only "item" that prevents stone fall damage is a Feather Falling potion, as far as I know.
2: Perhaps if that was an item, it could be an item crafted from Ankh Shield and Paladins Shield (perhaps even including a Magic Mirror in the recipe)

I forgot to mention that the fall damage part about being stoned, alongside the fact she can still hit you from offscreen and her line of sight is still dumb, is the major reason I consider Medusa to be so unfair. Even if you are a screen away from a Marble Biome, she can still spawn and she is capable of randomly stoning you from offscreen. If you are flying if that happened, then its an instant death the majority of the time because the fall damage is amped up. There is no counterplay to something like that short of not using wings at all, which is a prime example of taking a key element of progression and spitting it in your face. That is bad design and I will not put up with a mechanic like that. I will mod her out until she gets nerfed if they won't do anything about it and I am tired of debating about her in the thread.
I want to start a support group for the Medusa nerf, but I don't know how to convey my emotions without looking like a complete brat in front of the Terraria fanbase.
While we have had our fair share of problems with Medusas, I should note we really weren't in Marble Biomes that often anyway. There's really not too much to find there, and the drops become obsolete pretty fast. I'm not saying she doesn't need to be fixed, but rather you'd be around her so NOT often, that even if she were, you still probably wouldn't see her much. All the good items are still Post-Plantera/Post-Golem.
Speaking of Marble Biomes, I have stacks of Javelins. I don't even use them, because I have better items and can make better ones, and I can't even sell them :<
To be fair, I notice that she doesn't seem to stone you if you're not looking at her. It is frustrating that she can spawn in places far from the Marble Cavern as well; I found her in a spider nest above it and she stoned me while I was in my minecart, ejecting me from it. Luckily, she just stood there and was nice to me until I was freed and gave her a nice taste of my Demonic Valor . In all honesty, you'd think there would at least be a delay where you could quickly hit her before she gets off the stoning effect. But my attempts at a quick preemptive strike have all ended up being stoned.
Anyway, in my 1.3 Normal World, I've gotten many Strange Plants and I'm wearing Copper Dye over my main armor set (Shadowscale). I'm in the process of looting the Underworld of all its Shadow Chests then it's time to kill the Guide and go into Hardmode. I'll probably just farm for an Amarok once I get into Hardmode since I don't feel like trying for a Cascade. Speaking of the Yo-yo, I need to get my Yo-Yo Glove still. I have the string and counterweights so far. Before I unlock Hardmode, here are a few goals:
-Get a Molten Pickaxe
-Make at least one combined accessory
-Build some really nice NPC houses instead of my boring 8x5 interior boxes
-Craft the Night's Edge (just need the Fiery Greatsword)
-Complete my mine cart track to the east side of the world
-Make an Obsidian Skull/Shield
-Max out my life (340 Life max so far)
@Nathaniel: I agree with that. Although to be fair, you usually have plenty if you steal from traps. Yeah, I hate how the Javelins have no value. To be honest, it seems Re-Logic is making a lot of new items have no value lately. Thing of it is the time Javelins are the most useful is when you're unlikely to hold your own in the Marble Biome. By the time you can kill there easily, you probably have a much better weapon. Sadly, Throwing Weapons are just another sad gimmick just like Summoning was originally. There is no end-game Throwing set (before you say Possessed Hatchet and stuff, they're MELEE weapons, NOT thrown) or weapons to support it. Have fun killing those skeletons with the likes of a Wooden Yo-Yo and dealing with Medusa that early as well; those Javelins hit like 40 damage on Normal Mode and 80s on Expert Mode...
I have collected many wires from traps, but if you want to set up a teleporter system on the surface and straight down to the underworld, it takes a lot of time to collect them, after you raid the dungeon and later the lihzard temple wires. I do the minecart track thing across the surface too, just above the trees, but eventually I like to have quicker access to the dungeon, jungle, and underworld from my home.
Also, the banners get really annoying after a while. At first it seems nice, but when you are near the end you just get annoyed by your inventory filling up after just a few minutes underground, and having to throw a lot of stuff out. If only you can somehow disable the banner drops. In all honestly, every 50 kills is pretty generous. Every 100 kills would be reasonable.
Created the Black Mage from FF1 in Terraria for the sake of doing it. Kind of getting annoyed they're updating Terraria literally every 1-4 days.
Why can't I post my Steam pictures on here? It keeps saying "You're not allowed to post that extension in this community" or something.
Edit: The setup is wearing a Wizard's Hat and Robe in the social slots with a Yellow Dye for the hat and Blue for the robe. Wear whatever you want underneath it. For a self-imposed challenge, I'm limiting myself only to summoning and magic weapons/armor. I consider wooden armor to be magical due to its light weight, perfect for magicians. That and it's both easy to get and doesn't sell for anything. Probably going to rock the Meteor set for a long time, at least until one of the HM tier armors become available.
Sorry for the double post, but I just saw probably the most badass thing. So, anyone know Plantera, that plant boss named after Cenx's favorite group, Pantera? Well, I was watching that Expert Mode series and someone just showed a suicidal, yet really fast way to kill Plantera. Basically, the player facetanked it using the Fetid Baghnakhs. Seriously, that was the strategy; grapple onto a platform, use that weapon with Ichor Flask and peel away 42,000 HP in a mere 10 seconds. Titanium Armor and Cross Necklace are mandatory, as well as Endurance, Rage, Lifeforce Potions and Flask of Ichor. Also, a lot of melee-oriented accessories got used, such as Warrior Emblem, Avenger Emblem, Fire Gauntlet and Mechanical Glove. Yeah. Kids, don't try that suicide YOLO tactic at home!
I'm almost expected the Fetid Baghnakhs to get nerfed after seeing that. To be fair though, it's suicidal to use given most HM enemies are dangerous to fight with up close and personal melee attacks (mid-ranged melee works relatively safely though).
I'm actually really astonished myself that the Fetid Baghnakhs haven't been nerfed already. It's like walking into a blender as it is even without any melee buffs. I seriously loved that weapon when I got it. It was the only melee weapon I used between Hard Mode and the Moon Lord.
I finally defeated the mechanical bosses on expert mode. I found that while Twins is the easiest for me in normal mode, it's the hardest of the three in expert mode, especially the second phase of Retinazer. Those lasers doing more damage, which are normally hard to dodge, cause more trouble. It finally took obtaining a Philosopher's Stone along with a few more life fruits to pull through. But any sort of minecart or arena strategy just doesn't work. And generally, I don't care for arenas. With wings, big open spaces typically work, with my freedom to move around many ways. A long minecart track worked for Destroyer, just that it took longer, and unlike the other two, you can never get away from him to end the battle prematurely. Skeletron Prime wasn't too bad. So only Destroyer took a different than normal mode strategy for me. The other two I just needed the right accessories and a high enough defense to keep at it long enough.
So ShadowTiger, when shall we have our PureZC multiplayer game? I feel like I have done nearly everything in the game at this point. In fact, I have all but 2 achievements, those two being the longest of the fishing achievements (doable, but very boring and time consuming). I'm open to just about everything, so I will let other people be fussy, but not too fussy. Those who are too fussy don't know how to enjoy time with people.

If you feel like you had everything complete in the game why are you asking about it now and not when the game was newer and you had more tings to discover?
