First time? Really? OoT was one of the first games I played (alongside LA and the DKC trilogy). You should track down a copy on GC, or download it on Wii for $10, it'll be worth it even though you pre-ordered 3DS. I've played OoT so many times, I know most of the secrets by heart, and it still never gets old!

I'm like that with Chrono Trigger, one time in shop, I finished my work and just sat there thinking about the game so much that I had to stop myself before I started "playing" the game in my head!

Wait, why should he buy the same game twice? Why waste the $10 when I'm pretty sure he can wait 2 months? icon_shrug.gif

What do you mean? Could you elaborate, franpa? xD
More dynamic shadows and the walls show light refractions.

This isn't really in response to your observations, but namely the fact that I haven't seen that first screenshot, yet.

Hello, Gerudo symbol. How I desperately wished you would be the old one. Oh, well. Life will go on.

I thought the same way. When I first saw it, I was like

This never really crossed my mind until you said that, Rem. Why is there a Gerudo symbol in the Deku Tree? I know there are other blocks the player could have pushed, such as the milk crates. Even though milk crates don't belong in Kokiri, I still think it makes more sense than a block from the Desert that's on the complete opposite side of the map.

Well, Ganondorf was the one who cursed the Deku Tree... then again, if he also designed the traps, you'd've thought he'd make them less easy... icon_deformed.gif

As far as the symbol itself, I admit to myself I was slightly disappointed, but eh, it's just a symbol. Doesn't effect the game, really.

I don't think Ganondorf designed any of the traps in the dungeons/temples, I think he just cursed the temples and placed monsters inside to torment people and the surrounding area. The only place it might make sense for him to design the traps is the Deku Tree, because the really is no reason for a dungeon to be in there. Think about every other place though: Dodongo's Cavern (already a cavern used by the Gorons, they even said that all G'dorf did was infest the place with Dodongos), Jabu Jabu (he simply gave it a parasite so it would get pissed off and eat the Princess), Forest Temple (ruins that he sent a shadow of himself to), Fire Temple (old temple used by the Gorons until G'dorf revived an ancient dragon), Water Temple (He poisoned the water, that simple yet sooooo EVIL), Shadow Temple (a crypt for Hylian soldiers from a war that I can't remember the name to, G'dorf let loose a demon to terrorize Kakariko), Spirit (Everyone who's played this game in the past knows that G'dorf has absolutely nothing to do with this temple's traps and enemies, they were already here when you go there in the past, this place most likely got this way from Koume and Kotake).

Dammit, I'm theorizing again icon_sweat.gif

I didn't imply that he designed all of them. I was more or less just making a joke. icon_heh.gif

A joke, A JOKE?! I typed that entire paragraph because of a joke? icon_razz.gif

Either way, something you said in that post set off my theorizing abilities, good job icon_biggrin.gif

European and American box art for OoT!
I like the American one, personally. Looks shinier.

The American one looks more like boxart while the European one likes like that picture just shrunken down.

... oh damn... They're both epic. I'm having a hard time picking my favorite. But, I suppose the American one fits the style of typical Zelda cases more (apart from Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks), but still... Wow. They're both great. Nintendo should just release a cover that you can flip to show the other side. I dunno. icon_heh.gif
