The Pokemon I struggled most with, though, was Karen's Houndoom. It was just too fast to die; I brought in Lapras against it and was able to get into the low yellow with a Surf while it Nasty Plotted; Houndoom then proceeded to Flamethrower it to death. I brought in Crobat as my fastest and got it into the red with Fly before being KO'd. Anticipating the Full Restore, I switched to Mamoswine and got a OHKO with Earthqauke!
And on to Kanto! Lt. Surge, I'm gunning for you next!
P.S.: Todd, I don't care that your Psyduck couldn't beat a Rattata. It's pathetic.
EDIT: Kanto is awesome... I mean, I loved seeing what they did in FireRed/LeafGreen, but this is a whole new level of win.

You could try freezing them, couldn't you? Or putting them to sleep? Or are they immune to that? It's just, as soon as they thawed/woke up, they'd flee.
I believe so. I paralyzed Raikou when I ran into him, but I haven't seen him since...
I got Spirit Tracks today as an early birthday present... Methinks that I'll be getting behind in that Pokeman game just a wee bit. That's okay though. It frustrated me today. I can only play Pokemon for so long before I start to hate it just a little. And then a few hours later I begin to crave it again.

* Politoed (Lv. 41)
* Espeon (Lv. 40)
* Heracross (Lv. 41)
* Dratini (Lv. 21) IN TRAINING
I'm training up to Level 45 for the Elite Four. I wonder if they got harder to beat than in Gold?

But srsly, I'm having trouble picking a team. I have three thus far (starter, flying, electric) and I know I want a water Pokemon in there, but as far as the other two go... I have no preference. I really want to trade over some of my Pokemon from Diamond or Platinum, but I don't have another DS to be able to trade with myself >_>

Anyways, took me a bit longer than I would've liked to level up my party, but I'm there; I had to fight outside the entrance to Victory Road with Pidgeot in order to level up quicker -- it figures that when you actually want to fight a Golbat, it never shows up, and when you don't want to, they're everywhere -- and the experience wasn't as high as Pokémon in Victory Road. Fortunately, my other Pokémon had no trouble against the Graveler, Onix, and Rhyhorn that showed up, so leveling up was quicker for them.
- Lv. 46 Typhlosion
- Lv. 42 Pidgeot
- Lv. 42 Weepinbell
- Lv. 45 Red Gyarados
- Lv. 42 Graveler
Alright, so here we go... (All times in EST.)
1:39 PM: Walked through the door to the first battle.
1:45 PM: Will down. Gyarados and Typhlosion tag-teamed this round, after using Ice Fang on Xatu and subsequently getting Confuse Ray'd. So far, so good; the difficulty seems to be about on par with the original G/S/C's Elite Four. Did have to use a Max Potion on Gyarados after the match, though.
1:50 PM: Screw your Full Restores, Koga! >:O On a side note, I really friggin hate Minimize. >_<
1:55 PM: Real damn tired of Muk. Since I always save before each battle, I reset the damn game so I can try again and hopefully nail him this time. Freakin' idiot better not use Minimize again.
1:58 PM: Ha. Got the bastard.
2:00 PM: I have officially banned Koga from using Full Restores after he used two of 'em on Crobat. >_<
2:01 PM: Finished that one. Aside from that jackass Muk, it was easy, thanks to most of them being susceptible to Typhlosion's Fire-type moves. He also gained a level. But I'm never facing that Muk again until Graveler's faster and can kill him in one hit. >:O
2:05 PM: Hitmontop must be put to death immediately for KO'ing Pidgeot. Typhlosion performed the execution with a magnificent Flamethrower.
2:11 PM: Bruno's officially my least favorite of the Elite Four so far. Bastard KO'd Pidgeot twice, as well as Weepinbell and Typhlosion. Gyarados leveled up once. I hope that freak Karen ain't hard.
2:13 PM: ... I'm freaking screwed. It wasn't until now I realized I forgot to buy revives, and I only had two Max Revives. Guess I'm resetting to take on Bruno again, whilst hoping he doesn't KO more than two of my Pokémon. Damn it...
2:21 PM: Beat him again. Pidgeot and Gyarados both fainted. I don't know if I'll save before facing Karen, in case I judge that her Pokémon are too powerful and I'll have to just replay Bruno again and again until I get through without fainting. Gah.
2:29 PM: Reset again. I hate Karen, too. Looks like I'm gonna have to beat Bruno without losing any of my Pokémon... That'll be fun.
3:00 PM: Took a lot of time, strategy, and a little luck, but Bruno has gone down without a single of my Pokémon fainting. Lost five Full Restores on Weepinbell alone, and need to use two more to prepare my party for Karen, though...
3:05 PM: I had gotten a taste of Nasty Plot's effects earlier before I had to make the restart. Luckily, Gyarados' first hit was a critical and, surprisingly, Karen didn't use a Full Restore, so I finished him the next move.
3:07 PM: Well, all right. After getting Umbreon and Houndoom out of the way, Karen was actually pretty easy. Just gotta fill up my party's strength, use Ethers where necessary, and it's Lance time. I'm scared.
3:12 PM: Somehow, Lance's theme lacks the epicness of the original version from G/S/C.
3:15 PM: KO'ing Gyarados took forever. Not a good sign.
3:21 PM: First of I'm sure many resets resets. Really wishing I hadn't forgotten to buy some damn Revives.
3:54 PM: Verdict: Lance is too damn hard. I'm gonna have to lose on purpose so I can grab some revives, restock on other items, train my Pokémon some more, and might as well throw Lugia into the mix so that I have one more strong Pokémon to use in an emergency. I could sure use him now...
So much for the "live blog" attempt.

I usually max out (as much as I can afford) on healing items before going into battle with the Elite Four. Especially revives.
Gooooooood luck

Don't do that! Never give up. Never. Just plan out your strategy better. That's what I did in Emerald. I planned the whole battle turn by turn. And it was worth it. There's a certain satisfaction to beating the champion while you're severely under leveled.

Gooooooood luck
And yes, I did remember to buy them. So I won't get pissed off this time.
I pulled Lugia out of the box. Taught it Thunder, and that Extrasensory attack's a pretty good Psychic-type attack, so he's definitely gonna be a help. So I definitely don't regret it. Just gotta put it in battle and see how it goes from there.
