You are pretty good with the tileset, I like your screens. I have to agree though, that the palettes burn a bit too much. Except for that graveyard palette you got going there (I think Joe123 made it back in the day), which is pretty nice.

I made screens. Like, a longer while ago, so not sure if I posted those already. They might be slightly updated by now, who knows. I feel like sharing anyways:

Joelmacool12: Looks great. My only suggestion is to avoid using flowers there or tone their colours down.

Sheik: They look amazing. The variety of colours and tiles makes each shot very nice.

Everyone's had some good screenshots the past couple days.

Jared: Looks really good! I like the detail by the riverbank, with the grass and flowers everywhere. It's a good screenshot

Joel: I do like the Oracles/LADX-style screenshots. It reminds me of something you'd see in those games.

Sheik: I'm really liking the graphics in that quest. All four of the screenshots you posted are very well-detailed. Looking at those screenshots, you really did a good job detailing everything!

Shane: It's looking good so far. The cave is detailed pretty well so far, keep up the good work.

@Sheik Those screens look amazing. You're like a god at that tileset :P

@Shane Really nice cave. Makes me want to go explore in it. Also, neat touch with having Wing Dungeon walls for a cave.

... ... A shot I made. Uhh... I was about to describe it with an interesting "HOLY OMG!" story I had in mind, but, ummm, yeah. Enjoy I guess?

Oh man, that's awesome. The screen design is exceptional and I like the shadow colours you gave the enemies too. My only suggestion would be to change the water tiles since those water tiles are usually supposed to be used for shallow water if you're going for authentic GBC. It would look better if you used the water tile that is one to the right in the combo list (probably the lighter version would look better)

Thanks man! I wasn't going for a GBC idea in mind. More like "what works". I was planning to use the other water combo, but with this palette, it was darker and the shot would look more boring and uninterested (from my point of view :P ). Still, the atmosphere I was going for was a quiet mountain place, where you feel that something just doesn't seem right, that creepy feeling you get. So, I came up with the idea of the dark monsters :) I've been craving to start a quest that uses the EZGBZ set, but I don't want to work on multiple projects at the same time. Who knows, maybe in the future I will finally start it  :D

Ah I see. I only brought up the water thing since it's kinda confusing to tell between what's shallow and what isn't lol.

But yeah, that sounds like a pretty interesting concept.

Those look amazing. It's like you take EZGBZ and add a whole load of new epic stuff into it. I love everything with it so far, amazing job.

Lunar, those are some superlative shots. That looks like it could very well be the start of a new tileset. I approve.

Taking yet another long break from Lost Historia. I hit another designer's block and I don't want to force myself to do something I should be enjoying. I started a new file and decided to try a new design direction with EZGBZ. One that will also hopefully prove I am not a limited designer who follows another designer's philosophy (that being the GB Zelda titles). It just so happens that I like such a philosophy, but am not afraid to shy away from it or advise people to reference it. I realize I am a bit preachy -- sure, I'll admit to that, but that doesn't mean I dislike shots that don't follow such design choices. Hopefully this mini-quest will physically prove so. I won't be showing much of it, but here's a village. This quest is somewhat inspired by "the Fort Knights", a great GB mini-quest.
