If in doubt, bomb it. If it's IOTW, super bomb it. That one principle will get you further in many Zelda games. icon_wink.gif

Also, DFW likes invisible doors - they look like walls but they're just pretending.

Invisible doors are to Zelda what pixel hunts are to adventure games.

Also: hiding things under layers. icon_aggravated.gif

Bombable or burnable things with no clue whatsoever were my main bane in zelda games.

I don't watch any anime. But I'm guessing all of Pure ZC is aware of that now. icon_razz.gif

That picture perfectly sums up Migo's argument. icon_razz.gif

Guy finds a notebook that when you write down a person's name, and time and cause of death and all circumstances leading up to it, they will indeed die.

But when you use it even once, your soul goes to neither heaven nor hell. So you become a new "Death God" of sorts. The "Death Note" is a Death Notebook. Note a musical note or a message or anything. icon_razz.gif Well, it could be a mini message, I suppose.

So there's a High School kid, Yagami Light, using the notebook to create a better world by killing off all the evil people in it. Then there's this guy, known as "L" who is tracking him anonymously. Both are entirely anonymous, and are using intellect and logic to deduce who the other is. L must be careful, because if his name gets out, his name can be written down in the notebook and eliminated. Light must be careful to not reveal his identity otherwise he'll get caught. He has no powers other than his immense intellect and the notebook, so he can't risk getting caught.

The show's brilliance is deduced in a rather amazing way even in the second episode, where Yagami's position is triangulated through the most amazing of clever ploys.

Sounds interesting. But not going to Heaven or Hell? That sounds like incentive enough for anybody smart enough to know how to use the notebook to stay far, far away from it.

Only if you're concerned with spiritual matters, lol. The idea is you wind up becoming a shinigami, if you use it.

but the hype as killed what enthusiasm I used to have for it. I really really dislike it now. I can't enjoy it without thinking about little kids running around in conventions dressed up in ****ty cosplays with a pathetic piece of cardbord made to look like a death note.
