Looking really good! Those shots have been made really nicely and those are honestly the best looking Koten screens I've seen in a very long time! I'll be honest, the water/lava on the swamp and fire mountain shot still looks a bit odd, maybe if you use the rounded water tiles it would look better. Besides that though, really nice stuff.

Dayum, more amazing screens from the great Jared XD That looks really neat, it really suits a field setting and it just looks gorgeous.

It was supposed to be a jungle, but it looks more like a forest. Also, there is definetly too much green on the screen but I'm not sure what to do about it. xD This tileset feels harder for me to use than Pure Remembrance, but that's because I'm not used to it.

Oof. The layout itself is reasonably good, but I rather dislike the palette. That dark green is reaaally close to the black which really messes with the contrast, and that cliff railing is so saturated you can see the 8x8 corners of it. Try fixing the palette first, then adding some water or a pit to the screen to balance out the greenery.

Oof....
wow! "oof" was exactly how I was going to start. now I don't even know how to post....
my issues were the boxiness, the clonings and the cliff edges. it's so clearly a bunch of tiles that it seems like a rushed early NES game from a very small company. the repetition of the few used tiles killed the decent arrangement for me. the edging color selection led to some unfortunate and extremely distracting angles of neon green amid the dark brown cliffs and the pale sand. this is the type of tileset that could use some rounding, some variations, some custom work to blend the sharp cuts. arranging a screen with it is a challenge, especially when the scene seems to scream for organic action.
anyway, it's not really bad, but it's certainly not your best, buddy.

I like it. I don't mind the mountain rails or the minimal tile usage here. Too much variety in each area of the overworld can kill the big picture. I must agree with Dragon in regards to the the palette however. I would suggest using the Tarm Ruins palette. In fact, if you are planning to use EZGBZ further, PM me and I will give you my old forest palette. ![]()

Looks pretty good actually, Avataro. Like everyone said though, the palette may be a bit too much on the green side, but hey, it's still looking pretty good.

Thanks for the critique everyone. ![]()

This is a different take on the screen. All I changed right now is the palette and the water. The palette is now Tarm Ruins (summer).
I'm not seeing any good tiles for the transition to the water though. What do you recommend to do? And also, am I using the wrong mountain tiles? Because the mountain rails are like that in every palette.
And Shane thanks a lot for the offer, but for now I'll do fine.
I'm just experimentating with the tileset.

The mountains are fine. It's how they were in Link's Awakening, some people just dislike the authenticity, but for me and others, we really dig it. Regarding your question, there are two ways you can transition the water tiles: the land borders (which seem out of question here) or using mountains tiles (that are 1 tile high).
The new palette is lovely.
