You're crazy. I have replaced all enemies with Super Darknuts and you now attack things by throwing healing items at them, and shopkeepers have replaced their items with easily damaged doors that explode if you try to purchase them or repair them. They will then charge you for their services.

Seriously though, have fun. Boy I really wish I had the time to keep working on this. @ @. Thankfully it's "complete" in the sense that it can be finished from the start to the other without really encountering a bug, thanks to everyone here.

Once again, this is the latest version. Not a lot has changed this year. May as well download it anyway.

Shadowtiger, if you've finished the bug squashing, you should submit it to the Quest Database.  At least replace the old one on ZeldaClassic.com.

You're probably right. It's been such a long time that, 99.93% bug-free or not, it certainly deserves its spot. Would you do the honors of putting in the quest details into the appropriate fields if I give you the template?

I beat this three years ago.  How different would the experience be at this point?

Probably not terribly different. For the most part. Far fewer bugs, many newer and more interesting enemies in certain places, a lot of ways to keep your gameplay safe, (Less ways to screw yourself over, I guess.) and many places that make more sense in a chronological view, such as being able to interchange the Crypt or Train Station for which dungeon you go to first, and being rewarded for doing one before the other.

Oh and the Dojo is currently complete! If memory serves. It's pretty hard, but the rewards are neat.

You can also get all 8 Magic Containers. The Excavation has been renovated in places.

also in post 587 using the latest version in 2.5 seems not to let me get any bomb upgrades past 8 bombs??

Oh, that is something that I would definitely like to test out tonight. O.o Thanks. The top line in the very first post has the latest version too, by the way. I think it all leads to the same file in Dropbox. It better. >.> Yeesh.

To find the third sword, it's a bit of a questline. Start by going northwest from Kanavas. Not into the Graveyard, but into the desert. There is a bombable wall along the cliffside. Inside is a guy who provides a maze path through the desert to walk through.

When you've gotten past the maze, enter the cave, go down the stairs you'll see, and go a screen to the northeast. Kill all the enemies there, then go down the stairs.

Once you've engaged that uh ... dreameater person, I think, in conversation, it "unlocks" the presence of the sword so it can actually be picked up. She'll tell you where the sword can be found.

Once you've entered the place, the sword is a single screen to the east of where you arrive, hidden underwater. Avoid the trap.

Now just a little confused.

Know that place, little secret underwater entrance in pond, got traps, a heart to the west but even with lens of truth the sword does not show under water in the east, unless yes, I need to talk to dream eater person.

Ok so I go to NW from Kanavas two options first into Crystal canyon and the 2nd into desert with bombable wall but that leads to Mirage palace ??? Where's the guy?

Ah, I do apologize... I think I have given you incorrect instructions.

So, to get to the Dreameater person, from the southwest screen of Kanavas, with the tenthouse right in the middle of the screen, go west as far as you can go until you reach the maze path. Just keep going west and west and west. The screen before the maze path has the bombable cliff. So when you see that bombable wall, go west and enter the maze path and use the jerk's advice to navigate through it.

Alternatively, here's the spoiler for the maze path. Because I'm a wuss and I don't like to see people struggle too much.

So yes, the sword will be uh .. diveable .. when the Dreameater person is spoken to. There are permanent secret buttons hidden beneath the floor that trigger a secret on the screen with the L3 sword that makes a dive flag appear on the right place.

So I’ve decided to play this quest again to check out the updates and to look for bugs.  Here’s what I have so far (along with some minor gripes).

Stuck in limbo after pressing the switch.  I got the sound for picking up an item and I can hear my weapons being used, but it's as if I’m stuck in a cut scene.  The lake still filled up however, and the flippers made it to my inventory.

 

The walkable water tile here is odd considering none of the others are.

The new shops look great but there’s no way of knowing the prices before buying.

I feel that the range of the boomerang is a bit short to score the last couple hits this boss (unless that's intended but it might confuse some players).  Also when I died on the 3^rd phase, his "HP" didn’t reset.

 

If the player hits the boss trigger from the upper portion of the screen, the fight doesn’t go to the next phase until link is here.  Also, unless I’m missing something, there’s no hints for this invisible boss trigger.  New players could be confused if they don’t hit it by accident while dealing with the zoras. 

 

This bombable wall should always be open on this version of the screen.  The player can’t get here without bombing anyway.

Broke the cut scene after level 1 with random button mashing and got to explore the map. Good times.

 

 

Skip the first checkpoint.  From the entrance I went NWWN, down the hole, NEEEES, up the stairs, NWWSS. 

Got the lens of truth with 1 relic stone!  ...and had to F6 here.

 

 

It’s possible to get stuck here by pushing the blocks wrong.

 

 

The relic stone still functions as bait.  (Setting all enemies hunger value to 0 should fix it I think.)

 

 

Continuing in this cave takes you back to the wrong place, same thing for the level 3 sword cave.

 

 

Some graphical errors, etc.

 

 

I don’t have a picture for this last one, but when obtaining the level 3 sword, the spikes continue to move and damage you while the text is displaying.

 

EDIT 2: Finished levels 2 and 3, not so much this time.

Don't step on the portal or you'll have to walk alllll the way back to finish the fight, like I did.
