It's so hard to get a team that is good against fairys, to not suck against ground...

Right now, over half my team can get one shot by earthquake, and its a real problem...

Running Dual Screens Klefki, Technician Breloom, Serene Grace Togekiss, Chandelure, Sucker Punch Bisharp, and the 6th pokemon is still in rotation (Thinking Glisgor, since Aegislash has proven to be too gimmicky, and dies too easily if you can't predict when you're opponent will attack.)

Any ideas on how I can combat my ground weakness, or which Pokemon I should replace?

I was thinking of giving my Chandelure a Balloon, but I haven't come across one yet.

Replacing my mediocre Wigglytuff with an Electivire. This thing is already Badass from the moment I got it. It has 0 Speed EVs, and it's gaining 2-3 speed PER LEVEL. His Nature doesn't even specialize in speed. Am I just being lucky, or what? :3

Electivire has about 95 base stats in speed, so wouldn't be surprised. Max IV, EV trained, and nature in speed boost can get Electivire about 317 speed.

So let me ask how is this game compared to the black & White?

I've been thinking about picking it in the morning if I can, so I wanted to hear a bit about the game from you guys.

For me, Black and White were the only games in the series that I lost interest in playing after a while, all the way to the point of well...I just stopped playing the game, I haven't played Black 2 and White 2, which I heard were so much better. Regardless, X and Y in my opinion are so much better than Black and White.

I'm gonna get shot for saying this, but I liked Black and White more. It had more interesting areas, harder enemies, a much better story, and deviated from the formula more than X and Y. X and Y may have spiffy new graphics, but that's about it for new features.

What about a Weezing? (assuming you can catch one)  Levitate gives it immunity to ground attacks, thus it only being weak against psychic moves, and you can teach it moves like flamethrower and gyro ball for coverage.

Still don't have X yet, due to being more excited for ALBW and I kind of have a hospital bill to pay off D: But I would still love to get it.

Well from what it sounds like, X&Y are pretty much the same as the others except for the face lift. I don't know why I suspected any different.

Still I guess I'll be picking this up in the morning just to have something to do :-P

To add another opinion: X and Y, despite following the same formula, will still feel a lot fresher than Black and White. That's mainly due to the engine revamp and tradition to 3D. Doesn't mean the game has no flaws, but all in all I feel it's a much more fun experience, especially if you factor Pokemon-Amie and Super Training into the equation. It also had some nice scenery and stuff as well. I'd go on about why Black and White are not good/interesting/an improvement at all but I already did my rant about that.

Picked up the game (X has a cooler legendary), Choose Fennekin duh it was pretty obvios for me. :P

Anyways the game is pretty good, but is anyone else disapointed in the fact if you turn 3d on in battle the game lags as worse as trying to play new age games on a old Packerd bell computer with Windows 3.1?

I mean damn the lag is really killing me... Oh well at the game runs fine in 2d... You can really tell they wanted to you to play on a 2ds. :|

Yeah, the whole engine's kinda sloppy, in my opinion. It lags sometimes even in 2D. And as for the 3D, if you get into a double battle, the 3D doesn't even work. I can only imagine it lagged to the point of being unplayable, and they had to disable it. Kinda disappointing, but oh well. Hopefully they'll do better next time.

Beat the first gym yesterday haven't really made much progress except with the Pokemon amie (I love this feature <.<)...

Anyways On my way to ambrette Town, so far so good and also my team consist of the following-

Braixen - Level 25

Pancham - Level 22

Skiddo - Level 13

Charmeloen - Level 22

Fltchinder - Level 22

Axew - Level 15

Its pretty good at least for the time being, I'm liking this game a lot. :)

Oh and does anyone hate the fact after you get forced to take the skates when you use analog stick you move with the skates and not walk normal... I sure do :| it makes everything feel strange in movement. <.<

Nice team so far!

At first, the skates seemed kind of annoying, and sure, it being forced was also annoying, but I honestly got used to it fairly quickly. Running with the analog stick felt weird anyways, I still just stick to either the bike or D-Pad to move. Oh, and I just realized that it's been days since I've even touched the analog stick on my 3DS. ._.

Just beat the game and messed around with the friend safari. Fun stuff! :D

My current team:

Sylveon - Crocker - Lv 73
Jolteon - Sparkster - Lv 74
Vaporeon - Salvatore - Lv 75
Umbreon - Gary - Lv 73
Flareon - Blaze - Lv 73
Espeon - Koizumi - Lv 73

In all, I had a fun time, even if it was fairly easy overall... ._. I was always something like 10 levels over what my opponents were, so yeah... I wasn't going out of my way to grind though. In the end though, I had fun with it. I actually found myself doing a fair bit of the side mini-game things that I would have normally ignored. Especially loved that we could customize our trainers a fair bit this time around. ._.

But yeah, fun times. :3
