Also, I liked the first boss for that same reason, I just wish I hadn't watched a YouTube video on it, and spoiled it for myself. (Same reason I didn't bring it up earlier.) I just wish that they'd have the head duck down more often so you weren't forced to use Tails so much.

Working on Xenoblade right now. A good game with strong character development and copious amounts of sidequests. I've been playing it for ages, and there's still no sign of it ending.
Heck I'm still working on it, and I believe i'm really far into it. my current levels on the game is all LV 54,
And Woot! I got a new party member.
I can't believe how long this game is, I really thought it would be shorter. I have to day this game is well worth the $49.99
So far I'm ranking this game on my top 5 Favorite RPG's which now consist of
- Shadow hearts
- Shadow hearts: Convent
- Final fantasy XIII
- Xenoblade
- Star ocean: Till the end of time

I'm at the final level of Distorted Travesty, but got stuck and now I'm busy trying to farm enough money to fill up on HP refill items. The room I'm at has you having to haul ass to different colored safe zones before you take massive damage. If you miss even a single jump by a fraction of a second, you're completely screwed. You simply can't get far enough to overcome the frequent auto-damage and catch up to the pattern. I'm hoping that with enough items, I can just tank until the pattern repeats and I can get another try.
Other than those two games, I'm busy playing:
Final Fantasy IX (it is hard to drudge through this game. It's just too boring, but I still want to do them in order.)
Monmusu Quest (Monster Girl Quest - Very well written visual novel/RPG with very nice artwork. NSFW if you ever lose a battle, though)
Sonic 4: Episode 2 (Stuck on final boss, but don't really feel like trying all that hard.)
Pokemon White
Radiant Historia (Long stretch spent forgetting to save, then dying made me have to put this down for a while. I'll get back to it soon, though)

Still I need to play it again to 100%ed if I can. Where I can say I've fully beat Xenoblade.
But for now I need a break from that game, so. I started up Lost Odyssey to finish this one off again.

As a warning, don't enter Black Rock Fortress until you've gotten all the extra hidden upgrades you want to get. Something will happen that will make searching areas more difficult, and it'll last for the rest of the game. Although, to be honest, finding all those extra little pickups, such as the Heart Containers and magic upgrades, don't seem to be all that helpful in the long run. You'd do much better to focus on finding Skill Points and Rings.

So, I dug out my ancient NES and hooked it up today. Did this because my 4-year-old brother Alex found my Zapper gun, and wanted to play with it. He's now playing Duck Hunt for the first time in his life. He's only been playing the game for about 3 minutes, and he's already brought tears of nostalgia to my face. How, you may ask?
He's already screaming "I HATE YOU, DOG!!!" and trying to kill the laughing dog with the gun. *sigh* Good memories. I got my first NES when I was 2, and I still remember doing the same thing...

ah..Classic moments when you get a kid that has never even witnessed the fun of the NES.
It does the same to me. I know I got my Snes hooked up with the game StarFox in there, and my friends Kid brother (About 7) asked what in the world is that. I told him its the greatest thing he'll ever play!. He started playing Starfox, and he made it to andross on the first try and Lost (I knew he would It happened to me the same way When I was 6) And he yelled at the Tv that's it I'l beat this game if it kills me!
That made me feel nostalgia like crazy. (I miss those days of being young ah Nintendo you made my child hood the best thing ever!)
Edit!: Oh yeah thanks for the tip! Kurt on DT.

So I beat him. Found my first Legendary item (Thor's Hammer) in the Nightmare mode Cathedral Level 1 this morning. It was weaker than my Templar's current weapon.

Having to take a break from my second run though of Xenoblade. Still playing Lost Odyssey. trying to find and open every treasure chest is quite annoying and tiresome. Working on getting achievements is actual quite hard
You can get any of the missable treasures in auction houses. The hidden treasure chests are a pain in the ass.
I decided to do a second playthrough of Eternal Sonata but this time on PS3. I just love the artstyle of that game so much. And holy cow, Devil Survivor got a lot harder on Day 6.

Basically, it's the second-final boss battle. Words cannot describe this horrifying battle. I found a video of somebody playing against the same boss. Somehow, he managed to win the battle, so you can see every single part of what I'm up against. Check this out:
Shroud Lord Battle
Bit of mechanics explanation for those who haven't played the game. Dash-jumping gives you a split second invincibility frame in mid-dash, mainly used for dodging attacks or navigating solid (sometimes moving) walls of insta-kill spikes. It doesn't work on everything, and can only be used so many times before it needs recharged.
Also, by hitting an enemy or boss with a specific sequence of attacks in a single second time-frame, you can "cripple" it, reducing its defense to more manageable levels. I believe the cripple sequence for the Shroud Lord is "1: Any physical attack while mouth is open, 2: Full Swing attack". Unfortunately, the only times the mouth is open is when he's firing at you with a HP draining attack, so oftentimes, it's not worth taking the damage and losing progress.
I've still got to kill this thing, and then take down the actual final boss... Somebody pray for me, I'm going to need it.
