Let's see, 8 magic, about 16 hearts, L2 shield, blue tunic, lens, Moonpearl, slash, 1/2 magic are the max, as far as I remember. The things you have are very good.
Also, people, check the BB thread (in QPF), there's a development story now. The IR thread needs further feedback, too.

Just east from the dodongos is a chamber with lava. You can walk over this lava if you step to the right spot (which is a little left from the middle). So you can go south, kill all enemies there.

Okay I'm running around in circles right now trying to figure out what to do in nightmare. Found the dungeon on B1 Floor but I can't get pass the south room because of the invisible spikes(?). Does the lens work in this dungeon? Also, any help will help as to where else to go???
You need 2 keys for the boss key, then go to a boss door. The 2 keys are:
1. Southwest from entrance, go into the small building.
2. At the middle, under tall grass.
Of course the lens work. Exactly the same way as ever.
Keep in mind that to access the biggest part of B1, you need to go all the way left from the entrance and then south into a building. But you probably already know that. From the big circle room, only north and east are valid directions. Pregnant_Cow is right north of the entrance, heed the advices you buy.
EDIT:
FredFlintstone:
Southwest corner of the caves, go there. Since all caves lead south, the worst that can happen is that you need to walk a bit more to the west. You whack some boulders and broken objects with hammer to speed your way.

"north & east" are two separate directions in my last post, not a route. If you go north through the door in the big room, you get back to the forest area with pounding stakes. Maybe this is the screen that you just mentioned. Pound the stakes with the hammer and go north. There's the tall grass you need to cut, it has damaging undercombo, but has a key. From there go all the way east, then north through the bridge then there will be a minitree... hookshot or burn it or such... you get into a small chamber, go through the right door and you get your boss key.

Where do I get the extra key? Or do I have to find a magic key somewhere? Also, is it possible to get permanently stuck if you take the key by the Clockwork Boss and use it for the lightforce instead causing you to start all over?
Also, where should I go next? The castle, or that pit that opens from the war emblem?

OK- so I now have the emblem of war. I tried to get all of the keys in Saturn's lightforce area, but I'm still missing 1 single key. A girl there said there were 4 keys, I found those. But I need 5. there was 1 extra key by the boss, but I needed that to get to him.

If you use up the key just before the boss, in the subdungeon, then you need to get the last subdungeon key and use it before the boss to access it. But now you have the Medal of War, so go to that hole you mentioned and get the boss key there. Additionally, the final level has a convenient key shop.

It warps me to a switch that clears an obstacle from a corridor. Now that the corridor is clear, how do I get to the middle part of it?
