I made a poll for categories, if any one is interested in chiming in.

There are only a couple of days left before DotM 2 ends on the 7th. We still need some entries for DotM 3. Just a reminder.

 

Furthermore, I'd like to say that they next contest will use the categories, on a trial basis. There will be a "best over-all" category too. I hope we can continue to do this. Thanks again to all who have participated! It isn't possible without you.

 

The categories will be:

• Best overall dungeon (Objective).
• Most enjoyable dungeon (Subjective).
• Best use of the chosen tileset
• Most ingenious use of puzzle mechanics, theme or gimmick.
• Haven't played yet.

I would personally choose Best Overall and Best designed to handle the objective and subjective means for the most part. I believe "Best Overall" will just be subjective by nature if you ask me, it's how people seem to roll. Having "Best designed" will often encourage people to reflect on the dungeon's actual design and look at it objectively by default.

All those categories seem fine to me! Looking forward to seeing what's in store for #3 when that becomes a thing.

DotM 2 ends on Monday, the 8th (cause I work all day Sunday). The next contest will go live when we get three entries after that. Looking forward to it, it's been fun hosting this, and playing the entries, even if I never comment

We still need entries for Dungeon of the Month 4. The next contest will start when we receive three entries. so go ahead, I know a lot of you have dungeons waiting to shine in the spotlight! Send them in, you can do it! Just make sure to follow the guidelines, I updated them slightly to make submission intake a bit smoother. It's nothing too crazy, it just keeps stuff more organized, and should ultimately look nicer.

We currently have zero, at the time of writing this, and that is just downright turrible
