I will never understand what is the problem that some people have with the time... Just play the song of time and that's it... you can slow the time, also. I always saved the game frequently, after any major progress, and I use the song to pass to the next day/night when I need it. That's what made the game unique and exciting.

The world needs more games like MM.

Now I have a reason to get a 3DS. Especially if they add a significant amount of content.

I bet the intro is CRAZY with 3D...

It doesn't seem to be that much of an improvement, with the exception of link's actor model, all the other models just look retextured. Almost all the graphics look like texture tweaks. I've seen fan made HD texture packs that were way better than this, but I guess its a bit too much to ask on a 3DS. The only things that looked 3D to me were the moon and link's actor model. Everything else is more or less the same.

Not trying to flame anybody. OoT 3D was a lot better than this. If there's no signficant difference between this and the n64 version, I wouldn't buy this.

Sorry for sounding like this, but I was extreemly dispointed when OoT masterquest was almost exactly like its first quest

The song of time helps. but you lose all your bombs arrows etc.. and yes, the inverted song of time is AMAZING! The most useful song ever, but I just don't like to have to empty all my bombs, arrows, etc...

MM is a really great game. (the dungeons to be more exact) That's why I'm okay with it having a remake. In fact, I'm a little excited myself. But I find this to be better if it were just a DLC for oot 3d.

I'm going to be honest here. I'm actually glad (and not suprised) Nintendo finally announced a remake of MM, so people can stop bitching and moaning about it not happening.

My opinion stands as called, though. Zelda games were about exploration without any worries; but when you're being forced to stop the moon from crashing Termina ASAP, the entire point of this mechanism is reversed. Yes, I know you can reset the time to Day 1 with the Song of Time, but that doesn't change my opinion... you lose all Rupees that have not been deposited.

...Then deposit your Ruppees.

Just go to the field and cut some bushes... it takes 30 seconds to refill your supplies... seriously. Bunny's Hood ftw X)

I think the exciting part in MM is the overworld (specially Clock Town, ocean and Ikana) and the awesome work with npcs... the dungeons are fun also in their style, but it's not the game's focus.

It's really easy to refill rupees to buy bombs and arrows in MM.

You can get the Silver Rupee in the Clock Town chest behind the Minigames.

You can kill the condor just before Romani Ranch for a solid 200 rupees.

Those are but a couple.

And? That's what Majora's Mask was on the N64. The actors weren't improved much either in the original. It was basically a different game with a slightly updated Ocarina of Time engine. That's what makes Majora's Mask, Majora's Mask.

Honestly, I did also think the graphics could have been improved far more than they actually have, but that's my opinion. The graphics just seem too old and slightly too geometric (the characters kind of look like polygons still). I'm still planning on buying this game no matter what, however. :)

For me, that's not the point. The point is that when I think of a Zelda game, what comes to mind most is the exploration at my own pace, the only obstacles being an area where I need a certain item to progress. I could never ask for it to be removed, as the entire game is built around it, but it makes it the kind of game I hesitate to play and don't enjoy as much because I feel restricted in what I can do, regardless of any "workarounds" it may have.

As far as the graphics, give it a little time, they'll polish it up a bit. It won't be any kind of full and beautiful revamp, but they'll at least look nicer in the end. We've still got a few months before it'll be released.

The point is that you can play the game at your own pace, as in the rest of games (the only exception is the start until you got the ocarina) xD The time limit doesn't matters because you can't miss any important item that you get before. Even if you were the slowest player ever, and you can't beat a dungeon in 2 hours 24 minutes (they aren't Isle of Rebirth dungeons), you still will have the dungeon item in you hands. And so on..

I think it's just a psychological question xD Just relax, enjoy the game and forget a bit about the time. It's only important with some side quests, and all of them are optional.

And we have a lot of conventional Zelda games anyway, so I think the risk that Nintendo took with this game was very welcome. The game will stand out eternally thank to that.

I think the focus of MM is quite different than other Zelda's, and the time 'limit' is a very polarizing issue. I really don't mind it. The three days in normal time are equal to -I think- 36 minutes. The Inverted Song of time will double this giving you over an hour to complete any given side quest, or dungeon in the game. In a way, I think this paces itself well. You go in to the game knowing you have a time limit, and you have to plan your course of action to make the most effective use of your time. This adds a layer or urgency, and uniqueness that not a lot of game can offer. To me, this was a neat concept, and made the world feel real in the sense that you HAD to do this stuff, or the world would end!

1 Termina hour = 45 seconds
4 Termina hours = 3 minutes
12 Termina hours = 9 minutes
1 Termina day = 18 minutes
2 Termina days = 36 minutes
3 Termina days = 54 minutes

Inverted Song of Time - Triple the amount of real time

1 slow Termina hour = 2 minutes 15 seconds
4 slow Termina hours = 9 minutes
12 slow Termina hours = 27 minutes
1 slow Termina day = 54 minutes
2 slow Termina days = 1 hour 48 minutes
3 slow Termina days = 2 hours 42 minutes

It was even more time than I thought...

I can't help but feel that they will ruin the Water Temple by making it obvious where the switches are and what they trigger like they did in ooT 3DS (pipes lining the walls etc. even though MM already did that), make it more obvious you need to use Ice Arrows to reach one of the switches (Probably have the fairy force a reminder), make the Goron race easier and better inform the player that they need a Goron Powder Keg before heading to that dead king's temple.

All of the presumed changes that they will make are minor annoyances, but they ARE annoyances none the less (Leave the game alone dammit!) at least we're getting the game and it will be at a decent frame rate (Remember, PAL regions got versions of the games that run at abysmal frame rates compared to the American versions of the games and this annoyance continued with the Wii and its virtual console). We PAL users are finally able to legitimately own a copy of the game that runs smoothly without importing, paying a premium or emulating the American version etc.!

For those who don't think the game looks much different:
