If I can get an N64 emulator to not melt my laptop while doing Skype and potentially streaming, I'd definitely be up for a 70 star Super Mario 64 run! ![]()

The Mario World race was fuuuun.
Thanks a bunch for putting that together, Nick.
I'd be down for a Mario 64 race some time.
I'd also love to race Zelda 2, Battletoads (I really wasn't kidding when I suggested this in the call.
) or Super Mario 3.

I'd be up for Mario 64. I've actually done 70 star before, although I'm not very good at it and other people have raced it blind with better PBs than me, so haha.
I'd also be up for Zelda 2 or Mario 3. I could try Battletoads, but I have this feeling I wouldn't be terribly good at it and it'd take me a while, considering I'd be blind for maybe 2/3rds of the game.
Because not everyone knows how to do these tricks and it wouldn't be much of a race otherwise?
Also 'cause those tricks kinda are aggravating to try to pull off even if you do know them, if we're talking about stuff like BLJs and Mips Clip that let you beat the game with just 16 star. 70 star is way more fun than 16 star, in my opinion.
Would really minor tricks like the elevator clip in Hazy Maze Cave and stuff be allowed?

The Mips Clip was the one move I never managed to successfully pull off. And the other ones took me about 50 gazillion tries before I got them.
I'm at my parents house for the next few days but my USB N64 controller is back at my apartment, so I'm not sure I'd be up to the challenge without it. Once you get past SNES controls, a keyboard is really hard to use.

Are there gonna be anymore races? I'm totally in if so. Majora's Mask would be a cool game to race imo (I run OoT but not MM)

Puyo Puyo, or Puyo Puyo Tsu! It's a quick game, and easy to pick up and play.

I'd so do a Megaman X run.

Any Mega Man would be good, but I'd prefer 3 because that's my favourite.

But recording and/or streaming definitely isn't required here to race.
That's fine then. Good to know I don't need to record or stream during races ![]()
I've suggested this already but I'll suggest it again, ZC Randomizer Modern 100% would be perfect for me, although it will take some time to beat and probably last longer than a day.

Lol we need to unanimously pick a game. Lots of titles going around, but no dice. I think RPGs that require heavy duty grinding need to be left out, because that can take a while, and having people watch a stream of someone grinding for an hour or so isn't going to be much fun. How about we make this easy and let people run on any version of The Legend of Zelda? Been thinking about trying the GBA port of it.

I'll go for the ZC version of LoZ for that then.

I'll just have to go with the NES version. Apparently the GBA rom that was dumped needs to be flashcarted and played on a real GBA, since it uses an NES emulator within the GBA. Trying it in VBA just gives you an error. I guess we can't have emulator-ception going on, lol.

It gives you an error on VBA does it? I never knew that actually. I guess it's before I never tried it before? XD
