In honor of him, if anyone still has a unpassworded copy of a beta of his Conquest for Power, I can take a good hack at it and see if I can finish it up to his standards and release it in his name and dedication. I promised I'm done with quest building after Lost Isle and Origin, but this is worth it to go back just for him, if nothing else but to pay homage and thanks to his great works in life.

Thanks to all for the kind remarks!
It has been a while since I have visited PureZC, and I am impressed with what staff has done.
From what I can tell, staff has complete control of the site, and hopefully is 100% capable of carrying on the legacy here. Bill would want that.
It will be a few days, but we will get an obit up and will provide the URL when it is ready. I also have written a Story of Wild Bill and will post that in a separate topic here soon.

It took me a while to feel... really comfortable with posting here, really. Truthfully, I'm still shaken to hell and back, but I'll try my best.
William changed plenty of lives (and even for those whose lives he didn't really change, at least he brought some fun into some others'!) by founding a great community. Sure, there's some rough patches, and some people get frustrated at times or move on, but... if there wasn't a sense of community here, none of us would have stuck around. He was one of the first people I talked to when I got here, and even with how awkward I may have been in those early days I remember him being pretty friendly and fun to be around. He will be missed.
As silly as it sounds, I don't know where I'd be without PureZC, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The place has gotten me through some tough times, even if I'm rather scarce these days. (Which is a shame, really...)
Sorry for your loss. Best of luck in getting through such a tough time. Rest in peace, William.

But his memory will live on in the thousands of members he brought together over the years.
Yeah, that's correct.
If it becomes an issue let me know I'll help out.

Though I may not be nearly as active as I used to be, I did and still do enjoy being part of this community. I truly consider you all. I still consider a good many of you my friends, and it was only possible through PureZC.
I met WildBill once or twice back when I was more active, and I was impressed by his friendly and easy-going nature. I am also appreciative that he worked so hard with the admins of the site and forum moderators to make a safe, ad-free, friendly haven for people who just want to enjoy being part of a community. I can honestly can say that there is no other forum on the entire internet that I like as much as this forum.
I am thankful that I got to meet Bill, even if infrequently, as he showed me that people can create sites that encourage positive behavior and constructive communities.
Rest in peace, WildBill.

I remember seeing a relatively vague post on Sigtau's Facebook about an unidentified person's death. I hoped that it wasn't Wild Bill, but I feared the same.
Though I never spoke with him, this unfortunate event brings to mind all the people with whom I have spoken and with whom I have become friends because of him. Whenever I have read one of his posts, it has always been helpful, kind, and in good humour. Wild Bill was cause to great change in many people's lives, directly or through the website he created. He will be missed, and his legacy cherished.
My condolences go out to his family and friends. We will miss you, William.

Quite late here but I might as well say it anyway. I've never spoken to Will Bill or anything like that, but if it weren't for him, PureZC might've never existed.
But I honestly was not expecting it to be that sudden. RIP Will Bill

I came back just because I was informed of this.
Will was a good man, father of this board. I knew him sorta well.
Back in 02 when I joined this forum it was like a second family, as weird as it sounds.
William will be missed by many. I guarantee he will never be forgotten.
Blessings.
