Ware hog is just to slow for sonic, and a bit of a copy of Twilight Princess. You just have to agree with that. A Character turned into a wolf and has to fight weird shadowy creatures that fall from the sky. Call me crazy, but I remember seeing that in an actually good game.
I'd like to point out that the shadowy creatures come from the ground in Sonic Unleashed.

I'm just glad that Generations has no (known) gimmicks, though. Nothing. We haven't had a non-gimmicky Sonic game since '06, and that one was terrible. Actually wait. It
was gimmicky. Shadow had fail vehicles and it had Silver (my way of saying I hate him). So we haven't had a non-gimmicky Sonic game since... Adventure 2. Which was '01. ... so Sonic Generations is the first true Sonic game that uses just straight character platforming and no gimmicks besides the character's own controls in ten years. Well it's about damn time. Let me make a chart:
Sonic Heroes - Team play. Was a good game, but this is still a gimmick.
Shadow the Hedgehog - Guns, vehicles, I guess technically the paths but that was actually kinda fun.
Sonic '06 - Vehicles in Shadow's mode. But this one was fairly close to gimmick-less, just not quite there.
Secret Rings - Wiimote controls, time break and speed break, game moves by itself and is on rails. Though to be fair, none of these (except maybe the controls) broke the game.
Unleashed - Werehog. Nothing more. Okay so it's half the game but it still wasn't that bad. Oh, and two words: Tornado Defense. >_<
Black Knight - The whole damn game. ... okay so the sword but still, it completely changes the dynamic.
Colors - The Wisps. Oh gosh, the Wisps. *shudders*
And now we have Generations. Just gameplay, no teams, no guns, no vehicles, no crappy controls, no Werehog, no Tornado (I hope but if they actually did it right it wouldn't be so bad), no sword, no Wisps. Finally. Thank you, Sega. At long freakin' last, you've given me a game I can get excited for
before it came out. ... okay so I was excited for Shadow and '06 but none of the others after that, but I liked Unleashed so yeah. Anyways. ... random smiley:
