Yeah, just mouse over any link without clicking, and you will know the location of the download. I am probably being Captain Obvious to most about that, though.

Well does anyone know why i can't download the b184 player from that link? Exact same thing happens with the one in AGN. Perhaps the one in ermock is a link itself to the one in AGN? Or maybe i got a virus in my HD prohibiting me from downloading it. It downloads to almost full then it says it cannot save it because the source file cannot be read. I lost the player after i visited the AGN forum and prolly got infected, after that when i tried to run any copy of the b184 it said zcmusic.dll is missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Source file can't be read means that the download just timed out or some of the pieces didn't match up when they made it to your computer and became corrupt, as far as I know.

I believe I have b184 player somewhere on my external hard drive. I'll upload it tomorrow, it will probably be a Rapidshare or Media Fire link, as long as no one else has beat me to it yet or cares that I'm uploading it without the aforementioned "AGN's" permission (I don't particularly give a rat's @$$ if they throw a hissy fit about them being edited/linked into my post. As long as their site is down I say their opinion about a one official download site is invalid, but that's just me and my opinion).

(Actually I think I've got most all versions needed for all the quests made so far, except all the betas that were on Shardstorm and the very early versions, i.e. before 1.90. I only have the ones for Fort Knights and Legends of Romia: Kamala's Tomb out of those betas if I'm recalling correctly.)

I think I can answer some questions here about the ZC downloads.

The links that go through ermock.com are from my own personal site. DarkDragon from AGN allowed me to become a mirror for the ZC downloads for a while now, maybe the last couple years. If you download directly through my site then you will not encounter any problems with whatever is going on through AGN.

The site itself is old, I don't even use that domain for anything else. There is a chance I will be migrating those files to a different site but if that happens I will point AGN and Ebola Zaire to the new links so they can be updated for everyone.

Hopefully that will clear a few things up. I will check back in this thread in case there are any more questions or issues. The AGN hacking is quite irritating but at least the mirror sites were set up so the important files are off site and have been left alone.

I may have to start checking in here a bit more often now. icon_smile.gif

EDIT: As for the 184 player, the download should be working fine now. I think my site was down briefly this week but I just tried it and it works. Put the player in the same folder as the 183 download and it should work fine from what I remember.

In such a case, instead of actually clicking anything on the page itself, it would probably be a better idea to kill the browser process instead. Depending on the page, even "denying" could still put your machine at risk.

I don't use IE, such precautions aren't needed here. there site just displays a pop up where clicking OK, Cancel or the x in the corner will start a download as will clicking anywhere on the fake scanner GIF. For IE they will likely use ActiveX for exploits and silently install the file without the users notice.

I dunno, back in the days of WinFixer I had issues with that in Firefox--even clicking No used browser exploits regardless of browser.

Cannot download directly from your site, because there are no links to any ZC versions. The only links are in that topic ebola posted. And the 184 player still didn't download. I uninstalled my NOD32 antivirus completely then tried to download it and it worked. Wouldn't that mean the b184 player link in your site is also infected just like the one in AGN?
Could someone else upload the b184 player pls, would appreciate it.

A little late in the day as I've been distracted by E3 but here is a download for the b184 player.

Zelda Classic b184 player

both Malwarebytes and Avast have found nothing of harm in them.

Good job, and thanks Erm for the hosting. ZC is safe for the moment.

Looking at AGN forums, there doesn't seem to be any staff response at all - one member reported that zeldaclassic.com is an attack site, that's all. No staff reply. One wonders ...
