Pheonix. I like the concept and colors as much as the design.

/M/ - 7/10
Good details and good sense of focus. I find some of the tree selections to be a little out of place with each other, but I am loving the color choices for them.
Phoenix - 6/10
It looks good. I don't have huge criticisms for it in design, but it looks like something I have seen many times before, and thus I won't likely remember it. It doesn't really take any risks, and in order to stand out as a SotW winner you often have to be willing to take those risks that could either do wonders or backfire. A job well done I can say, but I can't go beyond that.
LostInHyrule - 6/10
An excellent screen in concept: The entrance to a key place with a signature overlook. As for the entrance, the doorway seems a little too insignificant when compared to the stairs up to it and even link at the foot of those stairs. A grander looking entrance would help fix that. If that requires a slightly wider tower in your view, then that would be worth toying with.
Linkus - 7/10
For a gameboy style screen, I am really liking this. While it is mostly green, you really play around with those various shades of green well. However, seeing a slightly darker (and I mean very slightly darker) shade of green in there in the central grass area to differentiate it with the outer grass areas (where the trees are) might make the area look even more interesting. As for the top of those ledges, the off white (or dark grey, whatever you call that color) edges look a little out of place. Perhaps a better color would help that look more fitting with the rest of the screen.
My tie-breaking vote goes to Linkus, for I feel as if his screen takes the greatest risks of the four with good success and makes me think the most about where it can go. He explores certain aspects of a screen that aren't explored all that often, such as working with various shades of one color.

To tell you the truth, I had to Null Vote because I honestly thought that they were all very good shots. I love GB style, and most of these are along them lines. I liked Linkus' and LostInHyrule's a lot because they are quite faithful to GB style games. Good work to all of you. You did great on the screens. I'll be looking forward to playing the quests that these come from. Keep up the good work.

OK, I sent one in just because asked. I originally didn't want to spoil that area, but oh well, layout candy...
