and finally, i have never seen the bug get that bad. for me it has always just happened when i first load the save game and im at the entrance of a dungeon. dying and continuing has never caused a problem for me. but it looks like nobody has any ideas on how to fix it so i dont know what to say. well, there is one thing, are you using one of the betas to play the quest?

If you're gonna kamikaze a boss, hopefully you can do so with the blue medallion next time. It will give you a few extra hits without injury. Comes in handy against the deathknights too.

yes, the nayrus love is extremely useful for duking it out with enemies like death knights and fire gleeoks. thats why i made it the last magic spell you can get. and dont count out dins fire, it works wonders in clearing out the room so you can easily attack bat wizzrobes. i dont really like the fire boomerang trail. it screws up its ability to stop enemies a lot, which is a lot more useful than the tiny amount of damage that the trail leaves.

and back to that bug. my update, which was linked to earlier in this thread, is just to fix the info shops. most of them gave wrong information, which makes it impossible to get across the lost woods (unless you use the walkthrough). this shouldnt have any effect on the bug, but if it does then let me know. also, does anybody else have as much of a problem with the bug as vravelo?

I'm at L6's entrance and I think I explored everything that I can (yes, have Din's Fiire, too... just I always forget using it...), and with the place of the red mail and better sword, but I don't want to explore L6 before I buy those two items. However, they are costy, and maybe looking around for secret rupees would last longer than for example powerslashing the gigantic bush pack just east of L9.

There's a cluster of bushes close together near the dark forest that house some much needed coin.

I seem to recall not having a money problem when I played. Matter of fact, shortly after I got the better sword and the mail, I ended up having a full wallet for most of the rest of the game after that.
You should have the green medallion by now, though I think the information on the whereabouts of the blue medallion is more valuable than the green medallion itself. You get both at the same time either way.

you can get farores wind quite early in the game, all you need to have is a superbomb. its a pretty useless item, but you do get a magic container out of the dungeon too.

as far as money is concerned, there must be a lot of it that you missed. in the saria outskirts, in the left-center overworld map, there is a group of trees on the shore right near the warp point, if you use the whistle there youl get some. theres also some in the dark forest just above rauru, right above the path. thats about it for that area. if youv only bought the shield a few times, then you should be able to at least buy one of the two. even if you got the bomb upgrades in ruto. after that dungeon theres another 200 if you go back to the shouthern shoreline just north and east of serpents rock (level 2), where you used the hookshot to get a hcp.

Of course I got Farore's Wind long ago, not like I wanted to use it. But that extra magic container comes handy.

I will see about money then. (I bought a shield only once, but bought millions of super bombs and some potions.)

Of course you could always just pick a nearby casino and save when you're up and retry when you're down, but that's cheating of course, and we would neeeever promote cheating in a quest.

You don't need that many superbombs unless you insist.
Make absolutely sure you have red water of life when you enter level 9.

well, there is a quicker way to make money than that gambling thingy. even if there was a starting location near a gambling cave. in zelda 1, the best place to get money quickly is around the magical shortcut, so i did the same thing with this quest. tons of blue tektites and red leevers. plus theres world map warps on both sides of the area, so you can just go from one to the other and then back to the beginning again. although i dont remember if that was enough time for the enemies to reset or not.

They are in Moblin's dungeon. You have to defeat the boss, claim the HCP, and then pick up the wooden arrow.

gekos, after you come out of kasuto secret cave, youl end up in the lost hills, south from there is minilevel2 (the arrows) in the moblin woods, and levels 2 and 3. you can do them in any order really, except that the boss of level3 requires the bow and arrows. remember, if you just lost your way, theres the basic overworld walkthrough. it just tells you very generally how to get to the next level/minilevel in the recommended (but not always necessary) order.

I'm at the entrance of Level 7 and have even the Oberon Medal. I guess I will always forget to use it as I forgot to use Din's Fire in those freaky batrobe rooms.

What to do in the most northwestern town's playhouse? I can get to the imprisoned octorok and tried to kill it with diagonal boomerang through the mirrors, but it didn't work.

well, that is easily the hardest hcp to get in the game. you have to use the wand to kill that octorok. those spinning mirror things are pretty much just a way to make the whole thing based on luck. from my experience, it helps a little if you move around while the magic is bouncing around. iv only actually made it through that a couple times, i just wanted to have one hcp that was absurdly hard to get.
