If the world ends, it ends. Why worry about a problem, when:

A) If it does exist, you can't do crap about it.
B) It doesn't exist, and you just wasted your life worrying about it.

If it's coming, it's coming. You CAN'T stop it. Complaining or worrying your head about it isn't going to make it go off-course.

Well said. It's how I'm feeling on this subject matter.

My personal belief is that in 2012 giant alien my little ponies are going to descend from the heavens and stomp the human race into extinction.

Proof.

Dang those wikiguys are fast.

I don't believe Nibiru will come since many people keep moving to the next date of its arrival. Nibiru suppose to wipe us out back in 2003, but when it never happened, they moved the arrival to 2004 and 2006, and we are still hear, now the arrival will be in 2012. It will never end.

But something does linger around 2012. Something far deeper in the depths of the astral plane.

Trucky, you might want to elaborate a bit more on the subject. The post desires more substance. icon_wink.gif

Well, apparently we haven't seen it, and the orbit seems to sharp to work properly. I'm getting tired of all these end of the world theories, because they never happen. I think that one unexpected day, the world will end, unexpectedly.

I'm not gonna believe something that only exists on the internet. The internet is full of lies, you can't believe everything you read...

Let us wait 3 billion years

Alternatively, if that's too long for some of you, an asteroid will come into the solar system in 800-ish years and it has our name on it. The YouTube video isn't available, though.

*sigh*

The Andromeda-Milky Way collision is not going to be a disaster. When people hear of it they think "oh noes!! teh galaxy is going 2 get blowed up!!!1!" In truth, galaxies are extremely diffuse and are colliding all the time. The Milky way, like many other major galaxies, is constantly devouring other dwarf galaxies. These processes take millions of years and stars do not collide with each other. The estimated amount of actual stellar collisions when the Andromeda galaxy collides, (or more properly, merges) with our galaxy, is about five or something. Stars are very, very, VERY far apart.

Also, asteroids are solar system bodies so one can not "come into" the solar system. We are also not able to predict exact chances of asteroid collisions so far in the future, there are millions of factors to compute.

The (s): Perhaps it would be best if you actually added something to the discussion? Merely stating : "Well said." does nothing to add to this discussion and is substanceless. Kindly add more to you posts in the future. If you have nothing to add, may I suggest you don't post anything at all.

Siguy, again you fascinate me with your findings. I really wish I could be around see such a sight. Yes, the merging of galaxies happens all the time. They take millions of years to happen. It is unknown how life on the planet will be effected at that time so, it is possible that it could spell the end. But that is way too far off to calculate now.

Japanese scientists have found evidence for Planet X, and think it is only a matter of time before it is discovered.

Yes. But well after the so called Nibiru is said to come within range.
There are thousands of possibilities for the discovery of another dwarf planet in that debris. So, this is no surprise to me. I highly doubt this planet or object is truely Nibiru.

I doubt it too, but I just thought I'd post it since it was related to this aurguement about Planet X.

Wow I can't believe we are still talking about this. This is the way I see it. If there is a big planet headed are way, then oh well, can't really do anything about it. If there's not, then there's not. Why do we care anyway? We live on Earth, lets enjoy it. Sure planet x can crash into us in 2012, but one of us could get shot tomorrow and die. So lets not waste time ok? icon_smile.gif
