Almost beaten Expert mode, and now my whammy works all the time, so maybe it was pushed in when I turned it on that first time, and zeroed it wrong.

I have, hypothetically speaking.

Seriously though, I can't wait to get this game now, good going NoeL..

... dude, you couldn't even do it hypothetically. I can beat it on hard, but can't even get past the opening hammer-ons on expert (fail at about 1%). God damn that song is so awesome! Good thing it's actually a great song, unlike Jordan, which is damn hard, and it sucks to listen to.

So yeah... if you haven't heard it, get Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragonforce. Best GH song ever.

Yeah 1% is my record on expert, so I just play it in practice mode.

If I'm lucky somtimes I can get 2%.
On quickplay with the "no-fail" cheat I can get 55% on notes hit

So what you're all saying is that you have to know the song 101% before even trying to get anything above 2%.

Seem more like chore, and less like game to me.

It was a hypothetical. icon_sweat.gif Quit arguing about the nothingnesses on an internet forum. You're literally wasting posts.

Yes, to whoever-it-was-who-said-something-about-an-unfinished-product, (Buh...) nothing is ever "Finished" if people are finding bugs in it.

I 'kind' of did? OKKKKKAAAYYYY....

So, the word on the streets is that guitar hero II is a better game. IS that true for you guitar hero veterans out there?

No, I still think GH3 is a better game, despite a few bugs and the fact that it's vastly underdeveloped.

The actually playing of the songs has been perfected, there's plenty of characters, outfits and guitars, plenty of songs with enough variety to suit everyone... and boss battles. There's just more to it, with an actual career storyline and cutscenes... feels better rather than just song after song... and it's harder.

So, GH3 > GH2 in my opinion, but I still love GH2 as well.

And no you don't need to know it 101%, there's like 4000 notes or something. You just need to have damn fast fingers and microsecond-perfect hand eye coordination. The reason I can only get 1-2% is that the intro is ****ing hard. I can hit about 70-75% on pro face-off.

EDIT: Just DL'd their latest album (from which TTFATF is off) and it's all wicked. I love you DragonForce!

I've played it a lot for the past week or so. I always start on medium, and then slowly work my way up to hard after I get the hang of a song. I can't do expert yet though icon_frown.gif

Jeez, but I've seen people play on expert, and it is insaaaaaane. Through the Fire and Flames? Yeah. Insane.

Doing Through the Fire and Flames is something I've been itching to do, but have yet to play the game. I am mad that of all the Tenacious D songs to choose from, they choose one of their worst songs to play to... though in all honesty from what I've seen of Rock Band it looks like an improved Guitar Hero. Don't know anyone who has it however, and I don't have that much money to spare so... for another time/place I suppose.
