I'm starting to think u have a conspiracy going on. You want us to believe your screens are random....
...When in fact they are of a real quest. Good stuff shane.

Well, in my case, I did two small overworlds (each smaller than a BS overworld, so it probably came out to ~one BS overworld total), and two small dungeons (one maybe too small, but still), plus a final boss at the end. Pretty short, short enough that I never really hit that "Ugh, I'm tired of working on this" point (for the most part) and could really have fun with it through the whole thing. With your mini-quest suggestion, how large should the quest be? Could I have some ballpark figures so I could try to follow your suggestion and see if it works out for me?

Joke shots ftw! But either way, I like how it really does resemble OoT. Great work on that.

I really adore the colours. The design is nice too... except for that open corner. Now hear me out, open corners are generally okay, but when the corner in question is cramped with tiles, I feel that it's best to block the corner of completely.

But I agree with Shane with the open bottom right corner. Either way, a really nice screen!

Buildin... oh wait same joke
. Well, progress on my quest once again! This time, it's "Link's Nightmare", a small 3x3 area where Link dreams about an uncertain event and introduction to someone... (originally just a phantom telling Link its evil plans):

great screen! my issue with shots with dark palettes is when the characters are brightly colored, making them look like they are in different light than the rest of the scene.

Yeah, it's usually better to find a palette that compliments using a black transparent layer over it. It's a good screen, though.

I don't think Link and NPCs stands out too badly. Though the palette could be improved on; perhaps the darkest brown in the palette could be a tad more darker. Other than that, lovely atmospheric screen.

@Demonlink: That is one hell of a dark shot. I love the atmosphere put into that with the rain and all that. Great shot!
@Shane: Nice swamp screen! I don't really have much to say, but that's some really good Pure skillz.

Ooooo, I spot a swamp coming.
Anyways, this looks really awesome. Love the pile of logs in the middle, I wonder if there's a woodcutter nearby?

I'd try moving the log pile off centre by a tile or two either to the left or right because right now my attention is just drawn too it way too much.
