Okay, that makes sense. However, I don't think I'll add in different flooring. I think the shot is good enough, so... yeah.

I feel like this screen is a bit distracting because of the color diversity on the roofs. The roofs of the houses have less detail than everything else and because they're so varied in color compared to the rest of the screen, they stand out. Adding color diversity to the flowers could work too if that doesn't break Gameboy color restrictions. Also, you appear to have a road going to nowhere on this screen.

What colour roofs do you suggest? I'm not sure about the flowers in general honestly.
As for the path, you go under the house. This map is pretty linear, so you'll notice you'll have to go under the house from the bottom screen.

Final screen. I've touched this map over a million times now. It's getting boring.
The only thing that might be changed in the far far future would be those bricks. Maybe find better flower tiles or something, dunno.

Dude, I'd suggest to only do the corrections you only think are necessary. I like the shot before with the flowers and so, the roofs are marvelous now BTW. Not saying that you shouldn't follow the advice given here, only the ones (as said), you think are necessary ![]()

Eh, I'd keep the flowers, just not have every stone border have flowers on them. Make rows/columns of them, so it looks like the city is prettied up, but not that they're obsessed with covering everything in flowers. (unless this is like Happy Happyism in Earthbound, then you definitely don't have enough flowers.)
If you also want to show us something that isn't a city shot, though, that would be fantastic too. ![]()

MOAR progress on my quest!

As you can see, you'll start off by doing a quick minigame that serves as a Sword Training session with Master Kyo. You have fifteen seconds to kill 6 moblins or Master Kyo will call you a "Stubborn lad"!
(BTW, dat palette :tard: )

@Shane, I agree with everyone else, at this point it would be better to just make what YOU feel is right or to change what YOU feel is right (basically what Demonlink said). Nonetheless, a very lovely screen indeed.
@Demonlink, That looks really interesting and I do love those brown trees over on the left, kinda feels like a mix of Autumn in there.

Now that looks pretty good! Love the "mist" used for this place, gives off a very eerie feel. Great job!

What's this place?
I'm gonna guess it's a Haunted Ship. ![]()
The mist effect looks pretty cool, but... why are there 3 or 4 distinct types of patterns in it? It seems very random.

Why is my house flooded?
Don't feel like working on an actual quest just yet. Just fooling around. :\
That's a pretty awesome shot Shane! I thought you were back in business, but as Eddy said, I hope your motivation comes back, ZC needs you!
