Got the game last night and wow... This game is pretty damn good. Nintendo really used that 3d effect fantastic... haven't really gotten to a dungeon yet.
Been explorling the world, god its been so long since we were able to do this in a zelda game.

That's all I needed to know. Check this game on my list of games to get once I get a 3DS.

Just got back from Gamestop with my shiny new physical copy.

I picked it up at about 9 this morning, and played for a few hours. Like Ventus said, there really does seem to be a lot of openess from the beginning. A lot of small worries I had have been put to rest so far. I'm gonna wait till I get a little further before making a more thought out review.
EDIT: However, so far, I am loving it. And, I can't say for sure yet, but I have a feeling this game can get pretty hard. I've only beat the first dungeon so far.

Beat the second dungeon, Man that was fun... I don't know how I got lost in there though?. Meh, Wondering around death mountain now.

Once you get to the "dark world" you can apparently freely choose the order of dungeons. So I decided to start south-east. Man, that dungeon was confusing!
I really like the openness of this game, I think this is so much better than the way Nintendo handled the previous two DS games.

Beat the second dungeon. I have all the available items, and now I'm just checking off the points of interest I've marked. This game is very well done.
Oh wow, it's nice to see enemies that do four hearts per hit again :3
EDIT 2: Oops, I misunderstood the way it damages you. Either way, there seems to be some tough enemies.

So by COMPLETE surprise, my brother bought me this game.

Have you been to death mountain yet? there's some Lynel's up there that do not mess around, 1 hit kills... Man I went up there got killed lost all of my rentals.
Had re rent everything to get back up there and die again. Dx
Anywho Finished the 3rd dungeon, I really loved that dungeon. :3

First dungeon complete. So far, it's been a great experience. Love the open world feel. And I'm shocked that this game ran at 60fps. The last time we had a 60fps Zelda game was Minish Cap.

Its hard to believe that it runs 60fps as well. At least we know Nintendo can still make a zelda thats game run 60fps at least.

I'm so mad at this game for making some of my most original quest ideas.... less original....
.... It has to be good! ![]()

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. I was surprised. I just obtained the Master Sword.
I also think the game looks pretty good too. It looks a lot more polished then the trailers we saw early on, but they usually do ![]()

Get the feeling this won't be that long of a Zelda game so far, but I don't mind, it's emulating A Link to the Past and its length will more or less be on par with it, taking away the story elements. Which I'm pleased that not all of them are shoved into your face. I'm enjoying it so far, I love how the world is familiar but just enough is different to make it feel new. Beat the Hyrule dungeons and just beat my first Lorule dungeon. It feels and plays so smoothly. Not sure if I'm fond of the story yet, but it's early.
Kind of disappointed in the save statues honestly. I really hope they don't become a staple; I'd really just prefer to be able to save and quit anywhere, just like nearly every other Zelda game. It worked for them, why does it no longer work? I could understand it in Skyward Sword, as they also took you back to the sky, but here, they only serve as warp points, which could have just been predetermined like in A Link to the Past. I suppose it's not too big a deal, but it's a bit irritating. At least they make a sound that sounds like the flute song, that's pleasing at least.
