Well, I've settled on it, and I will buy Heart Gold ASAP. Yes, I'm not as rich as any of you, but I do have a job coming in soon.

To be true to my roots, my character shall be Lando, and my rival Han Solo.

Flareon is highly underrated.

Darn skippy. Flareon is, IMO, the best of the Eevee evolutions.

Quite enjoyable so far I really must say. Not speeding through it though, it'll probably be sitting at well over 200 hours when I'm done, just like I did in Pearl.

... Wow. Just plain wow. I either extremely lucked out or had a great strategy, cuz I felt this was the easiest time I ever had against Whitney, including all my playthroughs of the original G/S/C. icon_eek.gif

You probably had some different Pokemon in your party. I only had one female (Flaaffy) so I used her after getting Miltank's attack down. I paralyzed it, attacked it, got it down to a little under %50 and it would use Milk Drink. Again. And again. And again!!! And after the PP for that ran out, Whitney had two super potions. So it was just a long, tedious battle. Not really difficult.

And yes, I did catch the Sudowoodo. I know I said I typically only catch Pokémon I'll know I'll use, but I never pass up on the one-time-only guys. icon_razz.gif

So how do you complete the Pokedex?

Well, I feel left out. icon_sweat.gif Didn't do crap over Spring Break, so I didn't let myself buy SS right before I came back because I knew I would end up screwing myself even more. So basically, if my grades end up good enough in three weeks, I'll buy it during the 3 day break I have for Easter. Probably.

So...yeah. I'm gonna have to catch up with you guys...

In fact....I'd say out of Generation II, Umbreon was the best-looking Dark Pokemon. It was rather cool- here you have this happy, healthy Eevee, and then, with the right amount of abuse, neglect, and trauma, it turns into an utter BADASS.

Um, Eevee evolves into Umbreon at max happiness. So much for the abuse, neglect, and trauma. icon_razz.gif

And yes, Flareon is amazing. Used him in LeafGreen and XD. He's my personal favorite Eeveelution. Well, Glaceon might beat him, but I haven't actually used on yet, so I don't really know. icon_razz.gif

I haven't used Glaceon/Leafeon, but Glaceon at least looks interesting. Past that, my original Eeveelution was Vaporeon so props to it, but I also think Jolteon is fantastic. Espeon was good, but I prefer Alakazam if I'm gonna go straight Psychic; it's one of my favorite Pokemon ever.

I haven't really used Umbreon... you don't really need a straight Dark for type-matching. icon_unsettled.gif It's good against Psychic and the odd Ghost; that's about it.

I've never really used any sort of Eevee, when I think about it. I did collect most of them in Pearl though.

I don't know why people neglect Meganium. When I played the original G/S/C, I definitely preferred him over Typhlosion and Feraligatr. Typhlosion now sucks in ATK now that that new Physical and Special System is introduced. Feraligatr is alright, but I prefer a Water Pokemon that knows Surf, and can maneuver it better. Feraligatr is not a good Sp. Atk Pokemon.

I usually don't. It's just a chore, to me. Though after I beat the main storyline, I might attempt it to a degree, pending on how much I get bored.

Chuck and Jasmine have been put down. Chuck's just as hard as I remember, but I think he had one fewer Pokémon. Not that it mattered; I managed to beat his Primeape with a Lv. 25 Pidgeotto, then kept it out for the battle against Poliwrath to see if I could weaken it any. Managed to land one Sand-Attack on him, then got KO'd; that's when I brought out Lv. 31 Weepinbell, put him to sleep with SleepPowder, then pwned him with Solarbeam, followed by one Vine Whip attack. And Jasmine was easy with Typhlosion. That Lava Plume attack is nice.
  • Lv. 36 Typhlosion
  • Lv. 28 Pidgeotto
  • Lv. 32 Weepinbell
  • Lv. 25 Graveler
  • Lv. 20 Krabby (HM03 slave)
I'm gonna give the Safari Zone a shot before I progress further on the gym quest.

I usually never pick a water type as a starter, just because the games are flooded with water pokemon all the time. (Ha. Pun.) I prefer Cloyster, anyway. In Crystal, though, it really didn't matter which one you chose, since all 3 types are available before the 1st gym.

I usually go with Grass-Type as a starter. Chikorita, Turtwig, Bulbasaur. Yeppers. Good stuff.

I really don't have a normal starter. I just pick whichever one looks the least messed up and ugly. icon_razz.gif

Meganium has incredible Defense and Special Attack. People mostly choose cyndaquil or totodile because it's the easiest way through the Gyms. Chikorita is my favorite Grass-Type Pokemon IMO.

Personally, I don't like Chikorita much. Meganium, on the other hand, is awesome. But my favorite grass type is still Bulbasaur. You can't beat the classics. icon_wink.gif

That damn coin game. I love it up until it turns into a 50/50 chance. Reasoning out where the points are versus where the volbatorbs are is a lot of fun, but what the hell are you supposed to do when you're not given any tips?

I can get up to Lv.4 on average now before I make either a silly blunder or am just purely unlucky. Highest level has been 6, and the payoff is amazing there. Flamethrower here I come!
