Mr. Pimpy, this is the first time I have had the pleasure of viewing the artwork in this thread, in a while, and I must say. Your artwork is superb! Keep up the good work. icon_smile.gif

Thanks GC. icon_smile.gif

Some of these may offend you if you're conservative, racist, or Christian. If they do please inform me at once so that I'll know I'm doing it right:

My pixel art skills have came a LONG ways since my days of working on PZC games, but they're still pretty ****ty.

And then we have this cute little owl avatar I made for a commission:

I deleted my deviantART account so from now on you can find my work here. Also, is my artwork showing up? All I can see is "IBP Image" links for my old stuff so I used normal text links this time. :s

I'm really impressed. Nice to see a change from the same old memetic motivators.

Very good. However, I like good hatching more than that other technique I can't seem to remember the name of. I especially like how the lips pop out.

I actually rarely blend when doing purely traditional art, but I think the mixture of rough graphite crosshatching and smooth Photoshop painting would look pretty bad. (plus my scanner ruins sharp lines)

Thanks for your input though. icon_smile.gif

To be perfectly honest, crosshatching can look way cleaner and softer than smooth colouring with the graphite, if done how it's supposed to be done (not scetchy but clean and... soft...). And I can't see how traditional art needs the photoshop at all =p
But yeah, it's just my personal taste. Trying something different every now and than is always good.

Yes but when scanned it does look rough (As you may have noticed, even blended it looks somewhat rough and way too sharp. The real version does not look like that; same goes for the cocker spaniel I posted earlier in this thread.) and does not go well with smooth Photoshop painting/airbrushing. I do not have the convenience of an expensive, high-quality scanner that does not butcher the quality of my drawings. icon_smile.gif

...because some people like coloring their artwork, and enjoy painting digitally? I'd argue that the majority of digital paintings and drawings are made from a pencil sketch or inked drawing.

The comment on photoshop was rather jokingly =p

Also, I understand what you mean. Maybe try to take a photo? Those look rather blurred than sharp most of the time.

Haha, likewise my digital camera is pretty cheap and craptastic. It does blur it alright, but not in an even slightly useful way.. icon_razz.gif

Cloudtop Tower

Based on my quest. icon_razz.gif I need to learn some patience, because I kinda just threw it together. Now, I have to wait until I get my laptop because MS's tablet drivers block the actual tablet's driver and that f***'d up pressure sensitivity on my tablet. icon_frown.gif

Oh Alestance, that looks quite good. Sure, it is rather rough, but it gives a good impression of what to expect in your quest. I dunno if it is realted to the map you posted in the thread, but this one gives me more ideas of what to expect.

Psst, water and clouds are not that blueeee. But not bad though!

This is an optical-illusion drawing of a girl's crotch made to mistaken for a volcano. Her vagina is completely hidden by public hair, but if that may still offend you do not click.

I couldn't imagine.

Funny thing is another person can ONLY see a cartoonish volcano and didn't realize what really was until I told them to look for the belly button. icon_razz.gif
