My explanation of the story makes it sound better then having Luna Get so Jealous
she goes and Turns evil

But instead My thoughts of the story in my mind is
That a evil Spirit took control Of Poor Luna
and Changed her Appearance To suit the evil spirit "Nightmare moon"
To her liking

And The evil Being done this to try and rule the world with Luna's power
of the moon
And to make it eternal Darkness Where Nightmare moon's power would be stronger
And then with this power!. She would use it it to Destroy the planet

But then celestia With her being the only one to be able to use the Elements
of harmony
She used the power of good To lock away Nightmare moon. well in the moon

But alas there was a draw back to this
She never thought locking up Nightmare moon would also
Lock up Nightmare moon's Host. as-well

After Celestia realizes what happened She has a emotional break down
And she realizes.That nothing else could be done at all
Except Wait for another chance In a 1000 years to Get her little sister back

And after that...She notices she has no alblity to hold the Elements
of harmony no more

So she starts to looks for other wielders
And one day she notices filly Twilight. she has great Magic ability

So it seems ...
And then she takes her under her wing

And then starts episode one

Well...The evil spirit Nightmare moon Looks for souls with jealously to use as her host
and With luna Getting jealous...Yeah she was jealous...Okay back on track
The evil Spirit Nightmare moon Seen this as a chance To gain control a pony with A huge amount of power
She took it when she had the chance..

And yeah maybe jealously Could've turn luna evil But Its possibly that an evil spirit took over her instead.
Of jealously Making her Evil.

You're banned because, IIRC, Lauren Faust (or maybe someone else, I can't remember) said that it was an evil spirit, but it's just never actually mentioned on the show.

EDIT:Ninja'd and yet it still works as a ban. Not as much as it did when directed to Russ, but still.
