I believe that is too big Lynker. I could be wrong, but I really do think it is. But it really is a sweet looking case, if I do say so. icon_biggrin.gif

While it is a cool cover, I still have no intentions of buying the game. I like the colors on it, very nice.

I know this has more or less been touched upon already, but before, they said there was going to be no new content, yet now they're saying there will be new stuff "one after another."

Uhm.

So, does this mean there it could not be a waste of money?

Are you saying that without new features, it would be a waste of money? Because I strongly disagree. icon_razz.gif

We'll see what happens. He could just be talking it up, when really all we're talkin' here is the ability to turn of Navi's sound effects. (Which, if I may add, would be swell, but still...)

I think it'll be a waste of money regardless, unless there's a shitton of good changes >.>

I'm also wondering, or at least more certain, if it'll get a bad score. Splinter Cell 3D did, and it's a remake of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, a game that initially had very good scores, right up there with OoT's; and it's essentially the exact same game on the 3DS. On top of that, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is only about half as old as OoT and hasn't been remade a bunch of times either; and plus it was a launch title (not really giving it a chance to be different from the original), whereas, OoT3D has been given plenty of time to make appropriate changes.

Splinter Cell 3D got merced because the controls didn't translate well to the 3DS, among other technical problems. OoT should translate reasonably well, given that it doesn't have free camera control or other things that require a second analog stick.

To this day, I still wish the DS had more buttons. D: Camera controls are always an issue. I mean, there are no -convenient- camera buttons in Okamiden. I'm not going all the way to the minimap to change the camera angle while running.

OoT 3DS could, feasibly, use the DPad for camera control (given that what was previously the C-Items will be assigned to X and Y, like Wind Waker did) but it's more likely that they'll throw Navi and other miscellaneous controls (for the minimap) there, if they'll even use it at all. icon_unsettled.gif

One thing I don't understand is adding new things.
If you add new features and additions, then you have to change other things, like Piece of Heart locations.
If they add stuff, and move old stuff, it's technically not staying true to the original.

Why wouldn't they use it? I mena if you really think about it, it's a stupid remark icon_lol.gif

Because if it stays 100% true to the original, then I waste whatever money I spent on it because I have the N64 right underneath my TV.

No, I don't. But lots of people do. Like William, and other people. I can't wait to play it icon_biggrin.gif

Almost all console games don't use the dpad, or assign very small roles to it. It's also in an inconvenient spot on the 3DS. You can't use the analog stick and the dpad at the same time, so anything that they bind to those buttons has to be something that you'll only do while you're not doing anything else.

Speaking of which, I really hope they use the dpad for the ocarina...No mic blowing in this Zelda, please.

I actually found the Spirit Flute to be a nice change of pace, even if the learned songs (such as the crap they dare call the "Song of Healing" etc.) were terrible. But I will agree, just use buttons this time. Or the touchpad even. Err, buttons on the touchpad, since technically, the Spirit Flute used the touchpad too. icon_heh.gif
