It shouldn't be. If you ordered online, I believe you can cancel the original preorder and preorder the bundle. If you ordered in-store, call them and see if you can transfer. That should be all. I think.

I ordered in-store, but their phone is made of fail it seems, since it's either 'busy' or will give this incredibly loud screech after a few rings.

Won't stop me though; I have to go next week to pick up Disgaea 4 anyway...I'll get this sorted then...icon_twisted.gif

Edit: About an hour later of off and on calling, I was finally told that I can easily get it swapped over. icon_awesome.gif It's just not in their system yet, so I can't right now.

s***. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. What I heard of the E3 preview on Nintendo's official 25th anniversary site was....well....EPIC.

(Incidentally, I also tried to lift the preview video from the site. You can guess how well THAT worked out. Ended up lifting a copy off YouTube instead. Would've liked the super-duper-high quality version from the site better, though.)

When you guys preordered the SS bundle, was your deposit $25 minimum? Now I need to deposit an extra $20 to preorder.

That's actually pretty much the reason I've been pretty patient on when to pre-order. I wanted to know exactly what I was getting when I pre-ordered from whom. I was originally going for Amazon.

Yeah I agree. GameStop has the most mediocre service I have ever come by. Looks like it's a $25 deposit when you order it "online."

Say what? I pre-ordered Skyward Sword from GameStop online (before I heard about the bundle)
and they said they wouldn't charge my card until I came to pick it up.

I went to gamestop today, canceled my pre-order, and ordered the bundle.
I only had to put $5 down.

Also grabbed a brand new Super Mario Galaxy for $20 icon_smile.gif

From what I understand (reading from an email I got from a PR-rep over at Nintendo after I asked him... and by the way, I know him via work and he knows what he's talking about), they will release the bundle-pack to all stores that wants it. Though he wasn't sure about the US (remember, Norway), chances are the same will count there.

What you will get is: if you buy the limited edition, or "golden" edition, you'll get the remote, the game (obviously) and the CD. If you buy the regular edition you'll get the game and the CD. Sounds like a neat bonus and seeing as I don't have a Plus I'll probably get the limited edition...

I really really really hope I'll get to review it too, but we'll see. I know one of the other writers in the office wants to as well, so we're gonna have to fight it out.

Well, I'm sure your information is pretty reliable for game sales in Norway, but since it's a different country, I'm not 100% sure it will apply to the U.S. icon_confused.gif I hope what you said is true, because that means I will probably be able to get the bundle at Best Buy with no problems. I guess I'll just try to figure out who I should call here. Perhaps a local Nintendo office. icon_smile.gif

I hope it turns out like Twilight Princess for Gamecube did. I hadn't preordered, and I knew Nintendo would only print a limited number of copies of the GC version. So instead, I went out to a local department store the morning it was released, and picked up a copy with no problems. Fewer people think to check the smaller retailers. icon_smile.gif

As my guy said, it most likely will apply for the US too, seeing as he did read the information from a letter he got from the US HQ. I just wanted to put that in as a disclaimer just in case, you know? icon_razz.gif

Speaking of the GC release, I don't think that was all that hard to grab to be honest. I did the same thing, and while the Wii-copies were all sold out (I had mine, but my Wii had not arrived yet and I wanted to play icon_razz.gif), but they had a ton of the GC ones. I don't think most people even knew it was out on the GC, because I remember reading this list with world-wide Nintendo first-party sales and it wasn't even on the list. This was sometime after the release too, and TP was still on top, or at the top five at least. icon_shrug.gif Too bad really, the GC version was better imo.

Well at least i wont be without a Cd that comes with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
I called my gamestop to Make sure that i did not have the 69.99 one in reserve.
And the gamestop employee Told me that they was not going to get the Wiimote that Comes with the SE Skyward Sword.
So he told me I'll be getting the SE Skyward Sword with the cd And fancy box art for $49.99 but only thing is It don't come
with the Golden Wiimote.
But heck i'll still get the fancy Box art and CD So I'm happy

Sounds like GameStop is planning on 'removing' the golden Wiimotes from the pack and selling them separately. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time they'd do something along those lines, and I can guarantee you it won't be the last.

Just the other day they removed vouchers for the Onlive copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which was supposed to be sold with all PC-copies of said game. Why? Well, they do have a pretty good reasoning behind doing so, seeing as Onlive is a direct competitor of theirs, but still, they've done stuff like this in the past simply so that they can squeeze a few extra bucks out of their customers, no, their sex-slaves cause they're f***ing them all the time.

I mean, anyone who buys stuff at GameStop should realize the only way to make them stop robbing their customers at every given opportunity is to vote with your wallet. Buy your game someplace else, etc.

That said, it is quite possible that GameStop simply won't have the golden Wiimote in the first place, but I find that highly unusual and not to mention rather strange considering it's not a store-exclusive, but a part of the actual Special Edition...

I'm thinking about pre-ordering this game once I got some more cash. I wanted to check it out on some Dutch internet stores, but seems they don't have it available yet.

I don't believe this is the case. I think linktopower meant that he was calling to make sure he didn't order the bundle by mistake.
Unless I misunderstood and his particular gamestop isn't selling the bundle, I know mine is.
