Take away the pretty custom graphics and you've got a decent screen. Nothing groundbreaking. Give the graphics back, and you get sweet, sweet eyeball candy.

First screenshot: straight 'river' looks odd.
Second: stairs (?) look odd (perspective clash).
Third: differently-sized pillars look really odd.
Aside from that, screens are pretty good!

Hey Aevin, weren't you saying how you were having trouble with palettes because of your computer monitor? These are pretty easy to look at now, without any blinding-bright colors. Are you having any issues on your end seeing things from your monitor now with how the colors are currently set up, or is it working great all around?

All of the colors look a little muted on my monitor, but it's nothing I can't deal with. I'm happy to hear it's looking better. ![]()

Wonderful screens as of late. I really wish I got back to showing screens, but I'm resisting for the surprise-factor of an upcoming update.

All of them look pretty good
though the 3rd screen looks odd with the two different size pillars but overall quite good.

Really like those screens! Haven't seen any made with this tileset for quite a while. But yeah, agreed with everyone else, the 3rd screen's pillars looks... odd.

A quick fun remake of a shot from my quest. No, my quest isn't being made in this (still in a heavy customized EZGBZ tileset).

So, ever since the Firebird tileset was first announced, I absolutely fell in love with these mountain graphics. You could use them identically to the GBC mountains, but they didn't have that layered pancake look to them like every other similar mountain set. I started ripping the mountains I wanted into my quest, and recolored them into my palette. Since I'm rebuilding things anyways, it seemed like a good time to make a choice. Should I go with the original graphics I had been using, or swap them out for the Firebird ones?
The image on the left shows my original mountain tiles, GBC mountains with additional color depth. The image on the right are the Firebird mountains, recolored to fit my palette.
Because of how much work it is to rip and re-color the tiles, there are some tile errors with the Firebird image. I only ripped enough to throw together a comparison screen, just in case it's decided to stick with my originals. If I go with those tiles, I'll make sure to rip all the tiles I will need and prevent any future tile errors.
By the way, if I do go with the Firebird mountains, I'll probably swap my trees over to the matching ones as well. I like the additional detail they have. I'm mainly concerned about possible style clashing with my grass and ground decorations.

Looks great! I think you should use the less detailed version in the bonus folder, as they would fit in more perfectly with the "cleanness" of the other tiles. But the current ones look fine too, of course.
