Players can now charge up Smash attacks by holding the c-stick in a specific direction on the ground.
This is really good news to me, because it'll make the game even more accessible to people who aren't really skilled. However, I feel like this will send the competitive community into a tailspin of frothing rage.

You could do that in melee. Pros actually do this. ![]()

Yeah I've been doing the charging up for a while. It's a good technique and strategy.

Actually, you couldn't. This change makes it so you can hold the C-Stick in a direction to charge up a smash attack. In Melee and Brawl, you had to input A along with the C-Stick in order for the C-Stick to charge the smash. Otherwise you would only do an uncharged smash attack.

In Brawl, you could initiate the smash, but you couldn't charage it up with either the c-stick or the right stick (on classic controller).

Yeah I was talking about using the A button with the C-Stick. I didn't realize we were only talking about only using the C-Stick. xD

I really don't see how being able to charge your smash attacks with the c-stick alone will truly benefit those with less technical skills.

Lucas getting cut doesn't surprise me too much. Given custom movesets and alt outfits, you could probably modify Ness to look and play like Lucas, so essentially the two Mother characters are condensed into one. Which, eh, it works.
Well, his second leak does have some pretty outlandish predictions on it, so I'm still hoping he has a chance. But yeah, his first leak was almost 100% true. (He predicted Mega Man, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Little Mac, Miis and Pacman, but said they would all be revealed at last year's E3).

I like the element of surprise. I hope not all the characters are spoiled before the game actually comes out; otherwise, it won't feel as special to unlock them.
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping will happen as I like surprises as well. I can't wait to see all the characters that will be playable in the game! ![]()

EDIT: They mostly showed off Smash Run and how the power-up system works at the end of each level (i.e. you can choose from new moves, trophies, stat boosts, etc.).
