I've been working on this map for a couple months, constructive criticism anyone?

Oh, wow! That's really...it's...*looks closer* OH. I remember seeing this. It's THAT map. 

 

You know, in hindsight, I think using transparency as black was a really good design choice for Koten! It suits the...erm...uniqueness of this map quite well.

I wanted to covert my old overworld screens into Koten (they would look pretty), but the quest file is passworded and I forgot it. X_X

But seriously, that actually looks pretty amazing considering how only 3 colours are used (4 if you include black), so a job well done!

Hmm....very interesting. Reminds me games from the ZX Spectrum. But it's a bit on the bleak side. If you're going for the super-retro look, why not do what the ZX Spectrum did and add a bit more detail with dithering?

I was a little sad that no one commented on it since I've been putting a lot of hard work into it, but now I'm happy. Thank you very much~!

That's beautiful, but it could use step triggers that allow easier navigation once you reach certain points. I'd find this map would be tiresome to travel more than once in its current state.
