In my mind, reacting in an "oh my god this is so horrible I'm vomiting convulsively and stabbing my eyes out" manner is one way to be a jerk.

Except Russ didn't say that. He just said it was horrible. You don't see me getting upset when people insult SpongeBob. Cuz the new episodes suck. But if they insult the old SpongeBob then there's a problem. ... wait I defeated my own point

Really, all I can just say is: Get over it. He didn't like it, I didn't like it, big deal, it's nothing to get upset about. There's plenty of things the both of you still like, so there's no big deal, right?

Yeah, it does irk me that people react like "AAAH MY EYES HELP ME GET IT AWAY", but whatever, that's their choice. They can do it a little bit, but if they start being an ass about it, it bugs me. A LOT.

I think it was a shout out to Frosty The Snowman, though. When they were naming him, some kid yelled "Oatmeal!" and the other kids were like "Oatmeal...?" signifying he was crazy. Just my thought ^^

Just a thought on the other thing. TS, how come when all PG did was express his opinion on what Russ said, you also have to be rude and say get over it? It doesn't make you better than anyone else...

Wrong. Very wrong. Russ didn't use his profile or posts to troll anyone. Nor did I. And for PG's sake I was trying to tell him to get over it because it's a show, it doesn't matter. Remember this and what I said in it? It's the same principle. I'd appreciate not being called out on doing my job, please.

So I might be a little late replying to this, but I still feel I should say something. At first I though PG had overreacted about Russ' (I think I'm using my grammar properly there ) post, because I had only seen that post and I assumed he was talking about just Russ' opinion about the show. Then I saw this:

So please stop pestering me about it.

Looking back at the previous posts leading up to that, it seemed like they were just having a conversation about the show. Neither of them seemed angry at the other, so it seems kind of unprovoked for Russ to say that. So is Russ at fault? Partially, I don't think it would be right to say this whole argument was Russ' fault. You could also just as easily say that PG didn't need to attack Russ in response, specifically this comment:

You were a jerk about it.

So who's at fault? Both of them, at least that's how I see it. Russ didn't need to say that, and PG didn't need to react the way he did. Let's just go back to enjoying our ponies in peace, and forget about this.

I finally decided to watch the first episode straight off of YouTube (go figure). I didn't think I'd be able to tolerate watching a series based on *shudders* girls toys. But it was actually kinda mesmerizing. I dunno why. I can't quite put my finger on it.

The graphics were simplistic, and really pleasing to the eyes. And the characters all had unique personalities, something I like to find in characterization. I find it can be quite inspirational.

I don't think I'm going to call myself a fan though. I'd like to watch a few more episodes first. From what I've watched so far its fairly good, but I just don't get what all the hype is about.

The show gets a lot better after the first few episodes. That doesn't mean you should just skip them though, there is a plot.

Also, most things don't live up to the hype because usually people aren't shown the bad parts of the series in an attempt to lure them in to it. This is pretty much universal with everything.
