Yeah, that confused me for a while, too.... the old red-herring-lead-into-an-obscure-corner-compass-trick. But, trust me, you will find the bad guy, and you will get to open up your long closed can of whoop-a** .

I don't know if I'm more disappointed or more angry.I blew every whistle and rang every bell I was supposed to, I crawled through frog stool, I was called an illigitimate child countless times, I darted, smarted and farted when the occasion called for it and when I get to THE very end of the last level expecting to feel the exhiliration of rising to the occasion..things still aren't what they should be, even groping through frog slime one last time...if the compass doesn't mean what it's supposed to, after all the problems borne with frustration that had to be solved...then why did I even bother try..just disgusted that I still stand here with nothing more than a firm hold of amphibian excrement ...alas, poor Yorick, me thinks I'm ready to let the fat lady sing!

Hey, chief, I feel your frustration. If you want to help others help you, learn how to post pics of rooms/areas where you're stuck and then do so on a regular basis (someone had already asked you to do this because of the difficulty of visualizing areas based on your descriptions). This not only helps us assess the conditions of the area, including doors and other objects, but also gives us a break in that we don't have to replay the game to try to find/see the area(s) you're describing. Here are the steps for posting pics that I listed earlier in this thread:

1. Get a free Photobucket account
2. Press F12 to make a pic in your game folder
3. Go to Photobucket, click the upload button, select the pic to upload
4. When uploaded, click Save and Get Links; right click the pic, click Properties to see the URL; highlight it, right click, and copy it
5. Type the text of your post
6. To insert the pic in your post, click the Insert Image icon at top and paste the URL into the window that opens; click OK
7. Click the Preview Message button below to see if it worked (look toward the top of the screen to see the pic to be displayed); if so, click Add Reply; if not, make sure you highlighted and copied the entire URL correctly

There are a couple of rooms in Level 8 where you cannot see yourself. It is as if you are under the ice. Can anyne remember how to manuver them? Help! Here is a picture...

Looking for that illusive wand..haven't found any switches (that I recognized) help, what do they look like and what do you do to switch them.

You'll have to open a series of "dams" to make the water flow in the area outside of actual level 8 (think aqueduct and follow the trail after you make that first opening which is a button you step upon on a ledge that you can see in that aqueduct overworld) - getting there is your mission. In order to get the wand, you have to make the water fill the Oestlicher Tempel.

Thanks chiefbigcalf. Found the first two buttons and looking for the rest, just takes patience and preserverance. What a game! !!

This game is truely a mind bender. Level 8 is soooo large. I don't know how anyone can remember well enough to help. But here goes. 3 rooms - 1 & 3 I need a key (where are those illusive keys) and 2 can't figure out what to do, have the wand and I can trigger from the left and move the block on the right but ...nothing. Does anyone remember these?

M Snooze.in the underground ( your second picture), there are keys in the SW corner and also 2 screens east of the SW corner.there is a third key that you get in the underground level, but you had to activate the key chest and you get there by using the western access to the lower level and heading a screen toward the east where you'll be boxed in but you will have made a chest appear ( you have had to seen it before but prob. couldn't get to it)

there is also a key in the NW of the main area ( you got the one in the NE under the ice)

If you really need them I guess I could go back in and make pictures..right now I'm looking at my map and notes that I drew.

judas...there is a room ( 1by 2 screen in the SE area of level 3 where there is a shield) but I know I got it before there; there is a shop selling shield for 260 which is why you need the purse from Insomnia (I believe..check earlier comments in thread...your answer can be found)

First go right and top, shoot the eyestatue top. Then go left top, you'll find a chest at a right wall...

BTW, at all. I'can't help after the mirrorshiel in L9. I've only tested it one time. Also Mudvayne has changed a few things there. Please don't be worry.

I tell you truely, I am in level nine, wandering around and around and I am totally at a loss. Bombed a few walls to go outside and set a couple of things but I am not able to go any further. Can anyone help me. I don't even have a first key.
