I really love the way the transition between desert and forest looks, so great job there!

Thanks, I'm glad that you like like it! :)

Welp. If you excuse me, I'm going to go change my pantaloons now.

Seriously. Gorgeous screen.

This looks freaking amazing! Love the ways MC water tiles are used. Congrats!

Thanks! The screen isn't that impressive but I'm glad yous like it!

So back to Soulgazer's Requiem:

Polishing the first few floors quite a bit.

I really love those stained-windows on the sides of the room! They look amazing!

Thanks. A lot of work went into making all custom tiles, I really do hope all custom graphics provide a sense of uniqueness and atmosphere. :)

are you going to put the floor tiles around the coffins or make the coffin backgrounds transparent or something?

what?

and I like the enclosed water screen except for the shallow water that looks like it is above the rest, like a pile of snow or a sheet of ice atop the rest of the water.  it seems like I'm in the minority here, but I'd recommend scrapping all of those shallow water tiles and starting again.  they do not look like liquid water at all, especially with the shadows around them making them seem raised.

4 colours per quarter of a tile.

The shallow waters have been redone since Justin Bieber was a thing. I forgot to tell.

Actually Charizard on an actual Gameboy, I think you could render the coffins as sprites rather than tiles. That would look better, IMO.

...They'd look ugly, bright and will have less shading (replacing one colour with transparency). I'm happy with the way they are.

Okay, I made the "planks" have transparent backgrounds, sacrificing one shade. I don't think the Coffins need any editing.

Thanks. I'm glad someone does actually appreciate GBZ aesthetics.

Messing around with Pure Remembrance! Just for fun, but what do you think of these screens, it's my first time using Pure Remembrance! :P

Still very much a classic tileset user, I will continue using that tileset until I really perfect my usage of it. But Pure Remembrance was fun to mess around with!

The top screen looks really nice! I'm loving the way the mountains look.

The bottom screen also looks pretty nice, however, the bottom left corner looks a bit empty. Perhaps add some bushes or so to make it look less empty?
