So, I mentioned this in IRC but...

I'm betting that the "magical Sheikah book"(?) Link carries displays on the WiiU Gamepad screen when it's opened. Maybe it speaks to Link and is this game's helper companion like Navi or Midna, Link does seem to carry it everywhere with him in easy reach. It probably also functions as the game map, and Link could write down and record magic spells in it to cast later- it could even be a bestiary that fills as we progress. A magical paper version of an iBook or some such modern device.

(I think that's a cool idea. Just hope it's implemented well and doesn't talk way too much, or we'll have to suffer through "No, not the book!" memes...)

As long as you can't one-shot the final boss with it, I'm cool with an idea like that.

like the spinning top or double hookshot thing from TP.

They're called the Spinner and Double Clawshot. ;)

I'll look for a larger version but new artwork courtesy of Facebook page.

Oh wow, some actual exciting Zelda U stuff going on in this thread for once. :P

Looks like Link has the ability to wall climb? Might be stamina based. If I had to guess, it seems the Great Bridge of Hylia is there over what appears to be Lake Hylia which might be hinting at it being close to Twilight Princess in the timeline after all. Also Hyrule Castle having those purple swirls and the blue towers dotted around have me curious as to where this would go story-wise. But regardless, this artwork is amazing and shows quite a lot.

Can't wait for E3. :D

I also thought it looked like the same bridge, and did you notice the three towers that look like giant swords in pedestals? I imagine the story connects to TP but takes place before OoT, just a feeling.

I had the scariest dream just now that it woke me up and I had to post it.

What if the new Zelda had a character creator using the assets from Twilight Princess HD?  I kept coming up with different characters using the Lake Hylian clowns.

That new official art looks really amazing. I'm calling "Link's Rock Climbing Training" though, it'll be hilarious if this happened :P

And then he lands with his sail cloth ala Pilotwings parachuting.

What if there was lava rafting?

I know this is terrible and anti hype, but this game has been teased for so long that I eventually was just like, screw it, it'll come out eventually. And just stopped giving it any attention. Like I stopped caring. But now we get to actually know what this game is :3 So that will be nice. First video game excited about in a while. I literally just play melee nowadays.

We have a name. It's a nice name. And the game itself looks fantastic. I can't really say much more, it just looks amazing.

Welp. Wind Waker has been dethroned as the most pretty Zelda game. My god, it's so good to my eyeballs and my heart. I don't even care about Pokemon right now, just go back to Zelda please!!
