Just wanted to let y'all know that I've been steadily playing through the quest, fixing up a ton of stuff, changing quite a few rooms here and there to make them more useful and balanced. It's an exhaustive list of changes; some not that noticeable, but some are definitely apparent.
I forgot if I told anyone about the Pulcheria Blacksmith yet. He actually has a shop there now. The prices are
completely ridiculous, and there's literally no way to ever afford most of his stuff. Not that he has a lot. But you still get to go into his chimney and down the back of his shop (while he's taking a nap. It's cute.) and go into the basement and just kinda steal the armor right out from under him.
All save points are now in place. No more will we have to trek back to the same place over and over again.
Also added a shortcut from Marathon to the area in Kokiri forest just two or so screens west of your starting position.
I have no idea how I have the right amount of key-to-door ratio in the Crypt. No idea. At all. But it seems to work.
Excavation now has a much better path through it. It makes a lot more sense, logistically. Added a few hookshot points here and there for convenience.
Renovated some shops. They're actually a lot of work apiece.
The L3 Arrows (Which I lovingly like to call
The Awesome Arrows) can now kill Mirror-Robes! Actually there's a lot of stuff these can kill now. They can actually hurt Darknuts, though their shield still stops them from the front if they haven't been hammered yet. To compensate for this, Mirror-robes have been added to one of the rooms preceding the room where you find the L3 Arrows, so you'll still need the Mirror Shield to get them.
Also, Mirror-Robes now only have 16 Hit Points, way down from 48. No more will we struggle with them. It's like, "[i]we get it. They need the Mirror Shield to kill. Can we move on now with the rest of the game?" Because there are so many of them in the game.

I figure it was either remove most of them from the game but substitute other enemies for them, which may be more damaging or something, or just weaken the one that was already there.
Lots more. Too much to mention. Again, little stuff; but stuff that makes a difference.
