I don't think this has been put here yet, right? I think the most interesting bit that is new from this video is how the name of the route/places comes in, personally - but seeing actual battles is nice as well I guess.

Yea.. i posted it already and I'm in love with the female trainer this time around. Those Japanese people are really adorable xD

i just noticed the Text confirmation sound is the same as in red and blue version.

Yeah, they haven't updated some sounds since the beginning...I hope to God this doesn't mean they're STILL using those 8-bit cries for Gen. I and II Pokémon...

Of course they are. They wouldn't do something as sensible as change them. They really should swap them for the Stadium cries. Same basic noise, but it sounds like an actual animal, not a dying computer.

Yeah, I liked how they did the cries in the Stadium games. But they probably won't change it this time; we haven't heard anything about it.

That's what I meant. Using an updated version of them, instead of GBC ports.

New information guys!!

It looks like the multi-player in this game is a much bigger step than the one in HG/SS/D/P/PT. Also i decided to import even though i don't know how to speak a word in Japanese. I just cannot wait until spring 2011 to get this game. I'll just buy both the Japanese and the English versions.

Hm. Team Plasma looks stupid, and from what I can see, it's the same old "awaken legendary, conquer world" plot. Whatever happened to this game being different. The multiplayer thing is nice, but other than that, it's the same old game, with pretty much nothing new to it. I'm definitely not impressed.

Uh...how can you say that when all we know about Team Plasma is what their grunts look like? icon_confused.gif

To be fair, they do look pretty stupid though. icon_smile.gif

Holy hell, that high link stuff sounds fantastic. Just what the doctor ordered! Thank goodness! Can't wait to hear more "missions". Yay!

What's wrong with same old? Isn't that the reason we still play Zelda games?

Anyway, I'm going to think on that trailer, but to me it definitely doesn't seem awful.

That's not their goal. They want to free all Pokémon from Pokéballs, and will do it by force if they must.

Um. Zelda 1, Zelda kidnapped, save here. ST: Zelda gets killed, and her spirit helps you restore Hyrule. Same old story? I think not. Now let's try this. Pokemon Red/Blue: Get 8 badges, defeat evil team, beat Champion. Pokemon Black/White: Get 8 badges, defeat evil team, beat Champion. I hope you can see the difference there.

Sounds like a lame excuse to get rid of the HG/SS following system. It sucks that they removed it. icon_frown.gif

It better stay like that. . . forever. I hope Pokemon never changes anything about my childhood.

New gameplay people!

This one features much more things about the battle system and the pokemon musical. I think the Pokemon musical is adorable! xD

Wow, you just used THAT example. I seriously thought you were above that. Zelda has three main story formulas.

Formula 1 - Even # Items
LoZ, AoL, LA, MM, OoA, OoS, MC

Formula 2 - Three->Master Sword->Restore Something
ALttP, OoT, WW, TP

Formula 3 - Temple->Dungeon->Rinse/Repeat
PH, SP

FSA is the odd one.

Stuffs

This argument is irrelevant, you've lost the original context of the debate.

The original statement was: "oh man, I hope they don't have us play through Team ****s up the world and now you have to save it by defeating a legendary pokemon". Completely understandable, it's kinda overused in many games outside of Pokemon. Bringing up other games in comparison is not evidence to counteract that opinion; it's a different game. Maybe that style leans itself better to be duplicated over and over again. You have to stay on Pokemon if you want your argument to hold any weight. :/

People (myself included) just dislike that over-dramatic type of plot and are hoping they go another route (lol) which it sounds like they might be icon_smile.gif.

I think Pokemon is the kind of game that's best enjoyed when it's just a boy/girl who have a dream to be the best. I'd be fine if there was no true organization of bad guys, but instead just jerks you run into throughout the game.
