Cool map. I like that there's a lot of water.
Earth is 70% + water! I feel this map is so realistic and ground breaking ain't no way we can top this off
Thanks! I'm so glad you guys liked it! ![]()

Zelda 1.5 but not 2 because we don't like that RPG crap
It's meant to be an easy to use tileset, nothing too fancy.

He's going for a island themed overworld. ![]()
Sir Kazuma, for your first overworld map, that's pretty impressive! I already told you my thoughts on Skype. The details -- the interesting shapes and colours -- make it perfect and I love it.
I like what I am seeing. I think the sky/clouds are under detailed compared to the quality you added to the grass, trees and houses. Otherwise, good retro stuff can't go wrong.

Updated tiles and palette. Last time I'll show this screen off, I swear. ![]()

Aw, thanks! Your work is better than my, at the time when I started ZQ. You seem like a fast leaner too. You'll get there in no time. ![]()

I don't think it's bad. I would rather have more land than ocean in a island themed quest. ![]()

Yeah but if it's overdone..

I definitely don't think that it is overdone in any way. I really love the way the map looks right now; there aren't that many quests out there that feature islands like that. I'd say keep it. I really like it. ![]()

Are they really? I don't see islands that often... Quests take place on entire islands, sure, but I haven't seen anyone do them the way you have been, so keep them. And I really wouldn't worry about things being "overdone," just make what you enjoy making, work on what you're best at. ![]()

Sorry, I have to get rid of the island idea now.. I think it looks bad anyway.
